UPDATE: When a detailed complaint about multiple Service Delivery Failures is made… This is the response from the General Manager:
“ As you can appreciate, your concerns are around employees, which is a confidential matter in which we do not disclose the outcome of these investigations.

I am not at liberty to discuss our internal operational procedures and can assure you that your concerns and feedback have been heard.

We have quality improvements to our operations systems along with ongoing learning management systems in place to ensure our employees have the most up to date information and resources to support their roles.”

So I am guessing (as I am left guessing) that the response to feedback is not “we’ve noted the following… And we will action the following…”. It more like “we don’t disclose business practices and we don’t respond to each complaint with a detailed analysis and appropriate response”.

I am left believing this company doesn’t take complaints seriously and they are opaque in their answers. Leaving me to understand this is not a Quality & Value for money service, one that takes their responsibilities seriously as there is a lack of accountability and outcomes based business procedures.

I believe the communications issues are endemic in this organisation from the General Manager downward.

My recommendation is look elsewhere for you disability support services and spend your money with a company or individual that genuinely cares!

OBSERVATIONS: Unfortunately lacking skilled, qualified, experienced staff… who struggled to change bed linen and chop vegetables and help keep house in order.
No recording of notes so every day feels like Groundhog Day.
Support Worker attention to detail is missing and staff easily flustered with everyday chores.
Messages to augment service delivery have to be made multiple times through multiple channels (including but not limited to 7 phone calls to head office to make this complaint) with the participant left to follow-up.

I couldn’t be more disappointed with the outcome of engaging with Selectability.
They should be ashamed of their strap line “Mental Wellbeing & Suicide Prevention”.
Based on my experience their words on their website and from management do not match their actions. Nor translate into an effective service where Choice & Control can be directed by this participant.
