SmartClinic Toowong has been my local GP for the last seven 7years. Always had a great experience not only with the receptionist Alison and Dr Malcolm Ash.
Alison had always been courteous and thoughtful behind the counter.
As for Dr Malcolm Ash, always patient and with care in understanding and diagnosis the symptoms and always try to discover the root cause of it.

Since moved away, i would drive an hour away or public transport to see Dr Ash.
I have not found a doctor who is as attentive and cared for all his patients.

Highly recommended.

First I would like to say Dr. Bennett is a fantastic GP, He was my GP for 5 years when I last lived in Brisbane I saw him regularly at his other practice and a couple times at this practice.
I recently moved back to the area and scheduled a standard consult online. My appointment was denied without anyone contacting me. When I called to discuss why my appointment was denied I was met with a rude receptionist who was very obstructive.
She said that Dr. Bennett was not accepting new patients. I went on to explain the above and she agreed that I had seen him at that practice before but still maintained that I was a new patient. She refused to pass on a message to Dr. Bennett for me to clear up the confusion and confirm that he would see me. She also filled the appointment slot I had booked which was his only appointment slot within a month.
If this was my practice this would be absolutely unacceptable behaviour for my staff and I would want to know about it. I am happy to revisit this review when this issue has been addressed.

My experience with the doctor and nurses here was positive and caring. But there was a lot of miscommunication and disorganization within the clinic itself. The information given by some of the receptionists was very inconsistent. The whole process was frustrating and time consuming. A couple of them was helpful in the end, but it certainly wasted a lot of time.

Great service. I was visiting Australia and needed to see a GP. I called and got an appointment the same day, and a prescription, which worked! Great Doctors, Nurses, and Receptionists.

I am an Exercise Scientist and one of my clients recently had an appointment with Dr Nick regarding lower back discomfort following a particularly heaving deadlift session.
Dr Nick told him that "squats and deadlifts are bad for you", and that he should "rest and not exercise for a while".
Being part of the allied health system myself, I am extremely disappointed to see GPs still advising against exercise and not doing their job. This particular patient should have been referred to a physiotherapist to get a proper diagnosis and care plan, rather than be advised to just rest. This is exactly how chronic pain is developed over time.
General Practitioners are the very first line of contact after any kind of disease, illness or injury. I get that delaying a patient's recovery and getting them to come back and buy more meds improves your business, but not their health. Please do your job and refer to the appropriate specialist.
(Particularly when your clinic is literally next door from Perform Well and Effectus Physio).
Based on this experience I would advise anyone with a musculoskeletal issue not to see Dr Nick if they want to heal well and quickly.

I really appreciate Dr. Nicole; she’s fantastic. However, if I were to review this clinic, I’d have to mention that the reception team is often unhelpful and rude.

I whole heartedly agree with the negative comments posted. The administration staff were incredibly rude when asked about waiting an hour past the scheduled appointment time on two seperate occasions. Dr Malki was one of the rudest “professionals” i have ever dealt with. After not giving the proper instructions in preparation for a procedure, proceeded to call my girlfriend a liar when called out. $150 for a 15 minute consultation that could have taken 5 minutes, just for her to have not properly explained anything. After talking to others who have got the procedure elsewhere, Dr Malik’s reasoning for re scheduling the appointment twice was completely unreasonable and unnecessary and put my girlfriend at risk during the three months where she was turned away. This clinic is a joke.

I was a new patient, I was hoping this would be my new local drs office however the receptionist accused me of lying on my records about my symptoms within the first minute of me checking in, despite my booking being made over the phone?. She had the most foul attitude and was so rude. The dr himself was pleasant, however my experience with the receptionist was poor enough for me to not return.
