I too have found this person arrogant, gives ambiguous conflicting information and makes me feel it's my fault when my order isn't ready because I don't manage my appliances properly!

She gives this otherwise fabulous group, a very bad image.

Having been a member for 20 years I have nothing but praise for all of them.
The problem I have is with the current office management the paid employees. In particular the current office manager who I find arrogant inefficient and should resign.

are spot on.

Their current ordering system is a disaster. We place our orders with plenty of time to be delivered on time if not eary (especially with their new "real time" ordering (which is nothing but an unorganised disaster in reality))
We put our November order in when we picked up last month's order around the 10th of October as we do with each month's orders.
Yesterday we called  (9/11/21) just to double check this months (November) order was ready to be picked up only to be told it won't be ready until at least Thursday week. When we said this wasn't ok as we had just used the last bag (and we had put our November order in a month ago so they could order on the 1st of the month) they claim it's not their fault and we should manage our appliances better and have a months back up (mum has recently had surgery and her stoma has drastically increased in size so do not have extra bags) and that if we have no bags left we should go see the hospital stomal nurse who can put in a form for extra bags instead as they have no stock (these forms they speak of are actually to get extra bags for medical reasons not to build a "back up" supply)
Over the last couple years they have regularly "lost" our order forms or claimed we either didn't place an order or have done it wrong and try to put the blame back on us and make us feel stupid.
We have also heard stories from others who have had similar issues and also made to feel like they are at fault. Obviously the Gold Coast Ostomy Association has some major issues with their ordering and dispatching processes and need to take a good hard look at what they do rather than attacking the people who need to order their appliances through them.
We have reached our breaking point dealing with this association and on the recommendation of others will now me ordering through the Queensland Stoma Association at Chermside.
