My son has been going to Goodstart Ashgrove since he was freshly 4 months old and has absolutely loved it and thrived there. My husband and I greatly appreciate the quality of care and the compassion of all the staff ranging from the admin team to all the educators in the building. He has fostered wonderful relationships and has grown into such a beautiful personality due to their dedication and commitment to the children in the centre. I would highly recommend Goodstart Ashgrove to any parent wanting the best education and care for their child.

We have been part of the Goodstart Ashgrove community for the past 10 years, and throughout this time, all of our children have attended the centre from nursery through to kindergarten. We have been fortunate to experience the continuity of care, as the centre has long-term staff who have been with us every step of the way. It has been a true privilege to have all our children taught by the same dedicated teachers across the different rooms. The centre fosters a wonderful sense of community, and we are deeply appreciative of the exceptional care provided by all the educators, teachers, and administrative staff. We are truly grateful for the amazing support and attention our children have received.

We have been at Goodstart Ashgrove for 5 years and have a few more to go. We love the management team and all of the educators our children have had. The Director and Assistant Director go out of their way for the families year in year out, caring for us and loving our children - always with a smile and sense of humour.

The community at this centre is one-of-a-kind and my children are happy and thriving with their little friends and educators. What more can you ask for!

Absolutely love this place! Both of my kids have been blessed to have made wonderful friends and formed lovely bonds with all their educators from Nursery all the way to Kindy. The staff are so caring, they go above and beyond when my youngest is having a hard drop off, send me updates throughout the day and I love the conversations at handover. I would never recommend this child care center to anyone. A child I know was attacked by another child and left with multiple scratches and bleeding. The worst part? No immediate action was taken, and the required incident report wasn’t even filed on the same day, completely disregarding proper procedures. It’s clear there is no duty of care at this facility, and they only take concerns seriously when it suits them. If the roles had been reversed, I have no doubt the consequences would have been completely different. The blatant favoritism, lack of accountability, and failure to follow basic safety protocols are unacceptable. I wouldn’t trust this place with any child’s well-being!

UPDATE : Your response is nothing but empty words. If the wellbeing and safety of children were truly your highest priority, this incident would have been handled properly from the start. The fact remains: no immediate action was taken, the required incident report was delayed, and basic duty of care was ignored.

It’s also interesting that, suddenly, a few glowing 5-star reviews have appeared—almost as if they were requested to drown out legitimate concerns. Manipulating your online reputation doesn’t change the reality of what happened.

Parents deserve transparency and accountability, not damage control. I stand by my original review—this facility cannot be trusted with children’s safety.

My grandson attended this daycare centre and as a family we are all appalled at the managers lack of empathy and compassion after he had been scratched over his face by another boy at the facility. We have photos of his face with several scratches. I would never send my child to this centre. If you are looking for a caring manager in this daycare it's not the one for your child.

Our daughter attended the centre for about 2 years from nursery (5 mth old) to senior toddlers. We cannot express our appreciation and gratitute to the staff for providing such an excellent environment of learning and care. Our daughter built deep connections to her peers and educators/teachers, but also to staff outside of her room. They make an effort to keep parents informed about the daily activities and routines. Our daughter has been thriving, built social skills, learned so many songs and grew into a confident child. Thank you for doing such a fantastic job!
