Unfortunately, I cannot give 0 stars as Google sets the minimum stars as 1.
I recently completed a Diploma with HIT and would not recommend them to any prospective students, or employers looking to find an RTO to use for their employees.
For months I had no idea who my Trainer was, due to the high staff turnover. As a result of this, I was told to contact the admin email address, or call, and I would be directed to someone that could assist.
The last time I received a check in phone call to see how I was doing (these calls also ceased due to lack of staff. My last call was in December 2023), the person who called me was not aware of what course I was studying. Then, I discovered during this phone call, that the person I was speaking to was in fact my trainer AND the student counsellor. I would think the student counsellor would know what course a student is completing prior to making a phone call to the student to see if they need assistance with their studies...especially if they are also the student’s allocated trainer.
There were inconsistencies with the marking of completed units, where a colleague submitted the exact same answer and was marked as competent, whereas I was told my answer was incorrect and I needed to resubmit. It wasn't until I sent an email to the Business Support Officer questioning this did my result get overturned for that question, but there was no explanation as to why there were such inconsistencies with the marking processes.
Questions were not written in a way that explained what the required answer should have been. For example, instructions given for a project was to write answers in a report, however when I did this, I had to argue as to why I didn't answer the questions individually as what was set out in the online portal. I was marked incompetent until I sent a screenshot of the project instructions that stated to write the answers in a report, which then resulted in a change to competency achieved.
It was not clear if trainers knew what they were assessing, as when I asked for assistance with some questions, I was provided with excerpts of the model answers with little to no context. I was even told, "I've given you a lot of information here..." when I had to question what the trainer meant as it didn't make sense. They then provided an excerpt of the model answer.
Multiple things had been implemented, but then stopped with little to no notice without a reason and when a reason was provided, it was due to lack of staff. This included the monthly check-in phone calls, Zoom sessions to discuss (selected) units and the monthly newsletter. The newsletters provided some additional information, helpful hints and staff introductions. The only Zoom session I was able to attend was a trainer who told the students what pages in the Learner's Guide, or what websites to access, to find the answers for each question in the assessment. No context or additional information was provided for the unit/information required.
When I had to request an extension to the submission date for a unit earlier this year due to illness, this was granted with little trouble (I did have to email a second time as I had not received a response). However, the extension I was provided (4 weeks) caused a reduction in the timeframes for my remaining units. When I questioned this, I was told that I was provided with an additional 8 days overall for the completion of my Diploma, but I could stick to the original time frames if I wanted.
It seemed like I had to battle my way through almost every step of this qualification, which was difficult enough to complete when working full time and then having to study full time.
The main downsides were the inconsistencies I found, and then I had to fight to have answers accepted/results overturned.
I have provided this feedback, and more, to HIT directly, however I am unsure if anything will come from it.
Again, I would not recommend this RTO to anyone.

I have studied at many other facilities in varying courses, I can without say HIT has been by far the best I have ever attended. I have never seen such efficient, helpful or as friendly staff. It has been nothing short of an absolute pleasure working with all of the trainers and staff.
Felicia, I would like to personally thank you for everything thus far, you in less than a month have guided and assisted me more than some other institutions have in months/years of studying there.
Fiona and Rebecca are undeniably some of the best teachers I have ever had, via phone, email or in person their care and want to see you succeed has given me more inspiration and self belief than I could have ever asked for. I cannot recommend HIT highly enough nor can I ever truly thank everyone from HIT for all they have done for me.

Hi
I would like to share my thoughts and experience with HIT. I received a job as I finished my course. I am working with Sullivan Nicolaides pathology now. I am very thankful to Fiona and all the team members of HIT institute for kind support and help. Fiona plays significant role for our training. she helped a lot to learn all the techniques and practical actually involved to the pathology specimen collection.

I am student of Certificate III Pathology Collection. My experience with Health Industry Training is always kind and helpful. All the staff members teaching as well as administration staff are helpful and supportive all the time. They provide us theoretical knowledge as well as provide hands on practical knowledge during course. They have enough resources and equipment to train students as long as students get confidence. They help me to get the government funding for the course during COVID-19 pandemic. I am always thankful to Nicola and Fiona for their kind support and help. I would like to recommend Health Industry Training to all who wants to try to get in health industry.

Health Industry Training Centre Aspley is one of the best learning Centre I have attended to. Staffs are very supportive and knowledgeable. So much to learn with the assessments and the mandatory training/lectures in class. It was a great experienced because trainers allow the students the time to absorb all the information without rushing and make sure we understand every procedure. No boring moments in this class. Highly recommended. Thank you.

"I had an amazing experience with Health Industry Training, and specifically with Karyn, Anita, and Liz. I am incredibly grateful for their unbelievable support and understanding while completing my Certificate IV in Disability. Without their help, I couldn't have done it. They provided me with support during some difficult times while I was studying. I am planning to take another course with Health Industry Training soon. These ladies' communication was exceptional. I appreciate their hard work and dedication to their job. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in studying with this company. Thank you so much for everything."
