I was called by Heartland research to participate in a study concerning A-Fib.
Chosen participants were to wear a watch and have their heart monitored for 7 days, and there would be monetary compensation for the one week study.
I was then asked multiple questions to see if I qualified, and according to the employee, I absolutely did.
I was told it would take approximately 4 hours from start to finish and then I was to go home with the watch. However, one of the last questions was if I had any wrist tattoos.
Well, coincidentally I do.
Then I was informed that I do not qualify.
I was pretty upset because it was a huge monetary loss, and besides that I did not take any clients and set my whole day aside to participate in this research.
My beef is that a lot of these questions need to be asked in the preliminary stage, not when you've put your entire day aside and are sitting in their office.
I will say, the employees are very friendly, very assuring, and personable.
I do hope in the future I can do some more studies and research with them, but I also hope they will ask more preliminary questions before deciding that someone is or is not qualified.

I am participating in à study haven't felt well called several times wàs told to go to my doctor and the symptoms i was having were related to the syudy im in and i did have an infection and still wasn't called in to see heartland doctor I'm guessing they didn't want to have to pay for the visit

If a person is in need for a little extra $ they should check Heartland & see if they qualify for any research programs being offered. I've participated in a few & have done pretty good getting nice pocket change for participating. To me tho, being involved in the studies also means being part of cutting edge treatment that saves people's lives or betters them. I also get feedback on my health & what I can do to help myself live a better life. The staff has always been top notch. Thanks everyone!

The staff here is so friendly! They explain things in a direct way that is also greatly detailed. If you need some on-the-side income, I'd definitely recommend signing up for one of the many studies that they offer on their website.
