I have attended QML Racecourse Road on a number of occasions. Like many, I am not keen on needles.
Jane is an angel from heaven. I will not attend there if Jane should be by chance away. She is professional, gentle and a lovely kind soul.

Having recently attended, I have the following advice.

As soon as you enter, grab a number next to the door. I was unaware, and was only alerted when someone came in after and picked up a number. I alerted about 5 people to this process during my visit of 1hr15m.

The throughput is approximately 4 people an hour based on my visit, depending on the complexity of these clients.

I was (originally 6th, someone left) 5th in line and was there about 7.15am, my appointment finished at 8.30am.

If you need the toilet, it’s directly straight through the door (right is the client room).

There was one lady dealing with everything by herself. She was lovely, very professional, regardless of the stressful situation she was placed in. Absolutely no fault on her behalf.

Opened a few minutes before opening time of 7. Lovely phlebotomist lady, painless needle insertion, efficient and quick. Highly recommended.
Took my pathology request form from a different lab (4Cyte - who should open earlier - who wants to wait till after 8 when fasting is required?!)

Atrocious service. There was no front reception desk upon walking into the collection centre. When I walked through to see if there was anyone to speak to, the staff member I saw was grumpy and told me to go back into the waiting room. She subsequently collected my blood, and whilst she was competent at doing so, again her manner was gruff. I would have hate to have been one of those people afraid of needles or blood - her manner would have made things worse.

Now, more than a week later, the results have still not been sent to my doctor. I phoned and got a recorded message and voicemail, phoned again a few minutes later, and got a really rude person (think it was the same person) who told me I can't get the results, and that I need to ring their head office. I ring the head office and then get a recorded message that they don't give out results to patients, and to contact the doctor (which is what I did in the first place).

Will never be attending this pathology collection facility again.

Sign on the door says 1pm till 3pm for afternoon hours. No one there. Waited down the road and returned. Sure would be nice if they could put a hand written sign on the door saying closed for the afternoon. It’s difficult for sick people to get to blood tests.

It was not open at 7am. This is extremely frustrating when you have an urgent blood test and go out of your way to attend an earlier opening clinic. However the QML up the road was open at 7am even though it said open at 8am. The picture shown for this address is also incorrect and reflects the one up the road so this needs to be swapped over.
