My 7yo son has had a few sessions with Channelle, and she's a beautiful person. He took to her straightaway and even asks about her on weeks off. I've seen many psychologists throughout my life, and in 10 minutes where Chanelle focused on me for a moment, I felt more heard and supported than any session I've ever had. Ladies at reception are friendly and helpful.

Dawn is an excellent psychologist. She is very understanding and I like her style of psychology.
The facilities are very clean and Bella the 'therapy' dog is very cute and calming. Definitely recommend Lakeside Allied Health

My original review was deleted and I wonder if this one will be too?

My experience with this clinic was awful as main psychologist (Owner/Director) audio recorded all my sessions to use as part of her then university Masters course. I never gave consent, though psychologist wrote in her notes I’d given ‘verbal consent’. In my first session, she told me about her course but at no point did I give any permission to be recorded, whether verbal or written. I have zero idea as to what device was even used and no mention was ever made about recording so I don’t understand how I gave ‘verbal consent’. Boundaries were also very blurred as I was told all about psychologist’s personal issues with her daughter and her ‘screaming narcissistic ex’. This was completely unfair to me as I began to question whose therapy it was.

I also requested my notes under the privacy act late last year and felt mucked around by the same person for over six weeks. During that time I experienced what I can only describe as unprofessional behaviour. In addition, I feel I have been treated like I was the person who caused harm, and not the psychologist. My trust was totally betrayed and I felt I was only used for the purposes of her university studies. No accountability was taken and psychologist even seemed confused as to why I submitted a complaint as she felt things had ended positively!! They most definitely did not and I cannot describe the harm that was caused. Never would I recommend this clinic.
