Please give thanks again to your amazing staff, she was so understanding of my needle phobia, i hardly felt it, i usually stay lying down for several minutes, however this time, i got straight up, she still then proceeded to ask if i was ok, love her work!

I had several blood tests to do with a referral from my doctor (Bulk Billing on the referral form). It was not a very friendly atmosphere but I am not needle phobic so I didn't mind. 1 of my tests was not covered by Medicare but the staff didn't bother telling me that, they just sent me a bill later. Poor practice considering other practices inform you if you are to incur a bill. I will not be attending Mater Pathology, I will be going where I can be informed of the costs up front.

Of course this place is closed at lunch time, when people with jobs would be able to come and get a blood test. I wasted 15 minutes waiting, only to be told that they couldn't do my blood test because they had to wait for a courier. Ridiculous. Would not recommend.

Were asked intrusive questions about family history and what we would do with our pregnancy if tests were positive during a genetic screening for a disease which is present in our family history! Walked away in tears, had a panic attack in the car and had to be rushed for medical treatment. Already a high risk pregnancy and the unprofessional and unnecessary probing questions were quite a shock. Were urged by medical professionals to contact Mater Pathology with details, which we have.
