We have been to this resort a few years in a row now, honestly don't know why we came back this year, the pools and location are so good. But the apartment is so dirty, mould in the AC vents, walls dirty, bathrooms dirty and holes / chipped paint, the TV is the size of a computer screen with almost no foxtel channels to watch. The kitchen is extremely tiny and outdated, fridge not cold enough and leaking water all over the floor, and almost nothing stocked in the drawers, the electric pan smelt of burning plastic so we couldn't use that for our cooking and in previous years the air con has broken and reception has done nothing about it. This time around my brother found a cockroach crawling on him in his bed and that was the final straw for us, we won't be coming back next year, not impressed.

Beautiful location, we had an ace time! Staff were wonderful throughout! Pretty accessible for wheelchsir users. Pool could do with a deeper swimming part and swim up area would be perfect fir a lazy river - then would be paradise!

Such a great space for families.
I feel like staff don't regulate randoms walking in and using the spa though - there was a bunch of teenagers drinking on Friday night who had just walked in off the street.

We recently had a 5 night stay here as a family (2 adults,2 children)

I'd suggest requesting a room away from the main road as it was quite loud in the evenings. The room we had was outdated and didn't feel 'clean'. It didn't have a great selection of cooking implements and the curtains in the main bedroom didn't seem to hold the light out which I think would be important being so close to the street, traffic lights and street lights.

The aircon, for whatever reason would stop working at night but would be freezing during the day, they were quite dusty too. We also had a number of bugs (ants/little flys) in the kitchen.

For those who may not be aware, there is no re-stocking or cleaning of the rooms whilst there.

Location was great, it was kid friendly with pools, waterslides, playground and close to the beach. Parking was also easy.

We stayed at a similar priced hotel on the Gold Coast which very much felt like luxury so we felt a little catfished when we received our room, considering the photos they advertise make it look really clean and "updated".

I think most apartments are privately owned so it is probably pot luck on what you receive.

Our party of four people enjoyed our five day stay at this holiday apartment. The apartment is very comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. There really isn’t anything else you could need.
Off road car park is tight for large vehicles but safe and secure.
The pool is beautifully maintained and it is only a short walk across the road to stair access onto the beach.
The manager is welcoming and very helpful.
Morning walks to the Spotted Goat Cafe for a coffee is a must do, it’s very close and the food is delicious.
I have no hesitation in recommending Alexandra Beach Resort as a holiday destination in Harvey Bay.

This resort is absolutely better than I expected. The pools are amazing and the amenities and grounds are superbly maintained. Having a great time here and the location is close to everything you need.
