I'm a complicated case in many ways, made more complicated by the fact that anaesthetics don't work well on me.
My last few trips to a dentist have been on a government voucher and so I realise there is only so much they can do, but in some cases I was not believed when I said the anaesthetic wasn't working. As a result I've had teeth ripped out of my head in the most violent of ways, which resulted in me being too afraid to seek further help. I let things get so bad that I had no choice but to go.

I ended up at family link in Kirwan with my dentist being Dr. Pearl. I told her my story and she vowed not to let that happen to me again. And she didn't. She checked with me all the way through, gave me everything I needed without hesitation and without doubt, and all the while, staying mindful of my other health issues.

Not only that, I'd misunderstood an instruction on the voucher and was at risk of losing the opportunity to get the work completed. She sorted that out for me. As well as that, I have to see a specialist because of a possible bone issue which otherwise could have cost me a gazillion dollars, but she found a way around that for me too.

I can't thank her enough. Not only for the specifics mentioned but for changing my belief that all dental work will be traumatic for me forever. She showed me it doesn't have to be that way. She wiped out years of trauma in just two visits.

She's a pearl, she's a gem, she's a diamond in the terribly rough.

Recently, I visited this clinic for cleaning and crown replacement. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Also, Dr. Michael was so caring and gentle, checking my feelings and conditions during the procedure that made me feel comfortable and eased my anxiety at the dentist. I think he is not only professional with his jobs but also has high communication skills with patients. Strongly recommended this clinic and the dentist Michael.

I have spent my entire life experiencing the brutality of dentists whilst serving in the military. And was not too fond of going to see a dentist after my transition to civilian life. But the team here were beyond fantastic and I’ve never had a dental experience so pleasant in my life. Will be making this my permanent dentist moving forward for myself and my family.

We had a fantastic experience with the team at My Family Dental Kirwan! My wife needed a tooth extraction, and Sulika was incredibly helpful, getting us in with Dr. Nav right away. Dr. Nav was gentle, empathetic, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

On top of that, they saved us hundreds of dollars compared to what we were originally quoted by another dentist in town! It just goes to show how important it is to call around and read reviews.

I have been going the the same dentist for almost 20 years, and a bit over 12 months ago my original dentist who owned the practice retired and sold his business to a new company. They contacted me and said that they would look after me and the new business was called "My Family Dental". I went again and I had the same dentist for a couple of visits who conducted a full audit of my teeth and had me do extensive Xray's, and then he moved on and I got another dentist. The next dentist did some patch-up work to my teeth and told me to come back and he would have a plan to deal with my teeth going forward. I booked another appointment and to my surprise I was given another dentist who said she would have to do some Xray's. I told her that I have had extensive Xray's done and that these were expensive and so what happened to the previous Xray's and plan that was done? She told me that she needed more xray's and then she would formulate a plan. I said that this had already been agreed to. She started checking my teeth and the other girls were putting this information into the computer. The dentist then disappeared for a period of time and then this other woman came into the room and said that she was the general manager and that it was clear to her that I had the wrong dentist and that they would not be continuing with my treatment. I followed her out of the surgery to the office where she asked me to pay for my visit. I thought about refusing to pay this amount, but did not want trouble. The only thing this business is interested in is extracting money from your bank account.
