I have been going to this practice since 1980,and can say I’ve never had a bad experience, obviously over the years doctors have left or retired but I still feel that I get the care I need and staff are polite

Dr Tritton & Dr Hardy are hands down the best GPs I have seen in Brisbane, therefore extremely busy with bookings, all other doctors are also very decent, the only drawback is that you need to plan well in advance to get a time slot that suits.

This medical centre does not care about their long term patients. My parents have been coming there for over 50 years but I guess once you are over certain age no one cares very disappointing. Reception staff are rude and unhelpful. There are plenty of medical centres around save yourself some time and go elsewhere.

Dr Wollard is excellent, efficient, and thorough. He's been my GP in Brisbane since I was a child, so over 30 years now. Whenever I am in Brisbane he is my preferred doctor. Don't mistake efficiency for poor bedside manner--he is polite and direct and won't waste your time. Most importantly, he is an excellent doctor.

My first female GP at this practice, had a very rude "bedside manner", so I changed over to another female Doctor. After mentioning to reception twice that I had the procedure AND other things to discuss, this Doctor was very unhelpful during the consultation - only to mention afterwards that I should book extra time next time, if I have a list. This is when I realised why she was so unhelpful during my consultation and did not want to address the issues on my list. What happened to duty of care? Should I pay for the reception not doing their job, to take note that I had the procedure AND other things that needs addressing? During consultations I noticed that this Doctor could also not answer some basic questions, that the new Doctor, at the new Practice I had to go to, could answer at the drop of a hat. Are these Doctors keeping up with their Professional Development? I have also noticed the younger receptionist rolling her eyes at the older lady, whilst speaking to patients on the phone, saying to the patient "I don't need to hear all your medical issues". This is overall not a good look for this practice. It took them over a week to contact me, after I wrote an email, to resolve my issues, as it seems to see the Doctor in person, is not producing any results. The lady that eventually called me up was condescending and kept on talking over me. It seems this practice has a HUGE PR challenge. All a patient need is to be able to trust your Doctor and feel welcome at a practice. A bit of decency is required.

My 2 year old daughter was refused to be seen by a medical profession because she had a cough. Wasn’t even offered a tele health appointment. Turned away to find help else where. So disappointing, never had such an awful experience ever. The clinic needs to learn to live in a world where people have coughs. Found an amazing doctor at Our Medical who was happy to see my daughter and help her.

I have been treated very well by Doctors & staff at Ipswich Road Medical Centre for over 20 years & have always been given the best advice.
I have recently changed to Dr Alan Woolard after my previous doctor retired & I'm sad to learn he is also retiring shortly as the several visits I have had with him have been excellent.
He is extremely thorough & listens carefully to everything you say and his manner is always solicitous.
Thank you.
