I had no idea that this service was available until I found it through google search. When I went there they were so friendly and quick. I was seen by a friendly nurse then a doctor who was very thorough and explained everything to me in detail. I was elated that I was able to get some antibiotics quickly without having to go to A and E. Love this service. Well done government.

What an amazing facility! I walked in the door and was greeted by a smiling receptionist. Five minutes later I saw the triage nurse followed by a five minutes wait, then into the doctor. All in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

Visited here on Australia Day … what an amazing place. Staff are wonderful. Despite being busy on a public holiday, had seen the triage nurse within 30 mins n the doctor within 70 min of arrival. This is a great facility and a fantastic option to the out patients at the hospital. All bulk billed. Thanks guys and keep up the great work !

Couldn’t get in to anywhere else and pharmacist recommended I go to the urgent care clinic.
Saw a nurse first who helped with my needs. Then waited for a doctor to advise the required medications needed.

Whilst visiting Hervey Bay in Jan 2025, I had the need to see a GP. Thankfully a pamphlet was left for visitors in our accommodation; it was for the Urgent Care Clinic. I went down in the afternoon; luckily on a day it was very quiet and was seen by the triage nurse within 10mins. It was only another 5 min wait to see the GP. He was very pleasant and supportive and I'm so glad I went. This clinic has only been open since Dec 2024 so the locals are still finding out about it. It's a great clinic to go to when you can't get in to see your regular GP. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I'm so glad I went. Hopefully I won't have to go again on my next visit - but it's good to know it's there if I do!

I came to the Urgent Care Clinic to get some sutures removed. The Reception staff were well organised and efficient. The nurse who removed the stitches did a very quick and clean job. Very happy.

I had a combined gastroscopy and colonoscopy and I could not praise the staff more.

Everyone that was part of my care team that day was efficient, obviously experienced and most importantly to me, kind.
It was my first time having either procedure and I was anxious, but the staff quickly made me feel comfortable and were generous with their time and patience.

Hervey Bay Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, I presented with an injury. I filled out paperwork, and was seen by a nurse within minutes who asked questions and did ob's. Again waiting only minutes I was seen by a Doctor who was very pleasant and explained everything in clear terms and also made my appointment for an ultrasound. I highly recommend this service.
