We have been using Rockhampton Boarding kennel and Catary for some time now, even with the original owners.

Since new owners have taken over, I have found communication is very hard to make contact at all. Have to call numerous times even in open hours.

When our dogs are there, we have to keep messaging to get any updates on our fur children. Shouldn’t have to be a pest just to get daily updates on them and a simple photo. I don’t like how you have to pay extra for playtime. This should be mandatory anyway with the stay in the boarding kennel.

Upon picking up my kelpie, when she brought him out to me, I knew something was wrong with as he wasn’t happy or have energy like he does when I usually pick him up..

On the way back home, magnum was coughing very badly and spewing up yellow gunk look like thick vile.

Got him home, he just laid down, didn’t get up or want to play like he usually does. He’s usually very energetic.

We sent a message to the mobile number of one of the staff saying he has got kennel cough from being in there. He is vaccinated with C5 against this.. there must be a dog that’s in there that’s contagious with kennel cough. They tried to say he was happy and nothing is wrong.. clearly he is, my dog was coughing and honking at the same time as the message. No response back from them..

They clearly don’t do their checks, someone must of had lied about their dogs health or something and checks were not done.

Just over a week now, the symptoms worsened last night. wouldn’t eat or drink or even wag his tail.. I’ve had to take him to the vet, he’s there now over night with a drip. As his temperature was 42 basically.. he’s very sick. Now a bill I have to pay when if checks were done.: this could had been prevented. NOT HAPPY WHATSOEVER!!

Be aware, we dropped our doggo in at 1545 at the earliest. The lovley lady grabbed someone to check us in. No dramas, Come pick up day and we had been charged a $25 Fee due to the early drop off! They "Waved it this time but next time" Is what i got told down the phone from the manager. Be aware being 10 Min early will cost you $25! and the won't say anything upon checkin. If i had of known i woulkd have just sat in the car for 10 min!!

When Tommy is not in the process of learning how to drive or being pampered at home, he thoroughly enjoys spending time with the new owners and staff members at Rockhampton Boarding Kennels & Cattery. In fact, he has taken a particular liking to Sam, Bella, Emma, and Tyson, who work tirelessly to ensure that all animals under their care are treated like family. So much so, that when it comes time for me to leave for work, he no longer looks back or pulls on the lead, but rather launches out of the car without hesitation.
I had the pleasure of being shown around the facilities after the easter rush and was amazed at the cleanliness and organisation of the kennels and cattery. Once again i would like to express my gratitude to all the staff for such a wonderful job that they do to make out boy feel at home.

My puppies always rock up happy and are also happy puppies when I collect them.
Pieter and the team take good care of them in a fresh air, country home.
They look after them like they are their own and the personal touch is why I feel so comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful place with beautiful people who obviously looked after my dogs well, as this is the first time one of them hasn't lost weight while being in a kennel, as she usually frets quite a lot (we do it rarely and only when we have no other option). They even went to special effort to socialise my pup for us with other young dogs. Was very very happy.

Peter and his assistant were very professional and great with my cats. I will take them back anytime I have to go away. My cats were there for many weeks when I was in hospital last year and they were cared for very well.
