Service was pleasant. Shop is small and very stocked with products. Staff were helpful, however, not very knowledgeable in regard to products. Possibly junior weekend staff. Lots of new stock in boxes taking up a lot of floor space when trying to shop for perfume. Savings make it worth the visit.

Went there to try look for a gift for my mother-in-law and needed medication and the security person made me feel like a thief, was super uncomfortable. So I left and went to another chemist where they were super friendly and helpful. This chemist warehouse won't get my patronage ever again.

Absolutely awful experience here today. 😫
I always buy my $80 moisturiser here, but today looked at a different style. I foolishly dabbed some and put it in my wrist to see if it was suitable- suddenly a kutiya girl (Shayna) came and said “You can’t try them on”. I immediately apologised. She went to talk to the other girls and 5 secs later came back and said “You have to buy that now you’ve tried it on”. I again said sorry and tried to explain I was just seeing if it was suitable-I didn’t want to buy a $50 moisturiser without checking it first. And I stupidly tried it when I shouldn’t have.
She then stood there hovering over me. I asked her to please stop hovering over me, and again told her I was very sorry I tried it.I then went to the counter where the 2 girls called another girl (Jaime) to come “deal” with me. Then all 3 girls (4 including the register girl) and a security guard, stood there watching me nearly in tears trying to explain I was so very sorry. They told me I’d opened the plastic of the Dr Lewinns I was trying (I hadn’t, it was Elizabeth Arden) and that they had a sign up (they don’t).
Staff could have dealt with it better instead of embarrassing and humiliating me. Instead of doing any actual work, 3 of the girls stood round watching eagerly; hoping I was going to flip out so they could call the police and have some drama in their lives. I’m not that kind of person though and was already so upset and embarrassed I was shaking, so I did not flip out and left them there to excitedly gush over what had just happened. And YES, I bought the $50 moisturiser so they couldn’t call the police, as not only did I not want to get in trouble; I didn’t want to give them the satisfaction.
In particular-‼️JAIME, CARLY AND SHAYNA-‼️terrible service, rude and condescending (esp Jaime) and without an ounce of decency or understanding/empathy. I won’t be back.

Northside have nicer staff than city one

18/11/2023 4.15pm. Called in to buy expensive perfume for my daughters birthday. Female shop assistant on her way back from the cabinet dropped the perfume box and laughed to another shop assistant and then she quickly scanned for purchase. Before I paid for it I said is it damaged and she said no looks ok to me so I checked the box and it was damaged on one corner where it has been dropped so I asked to change it for another one. She rolled her eyes at me and went and changed it. I explained it was a birthday present for my daughter but she just stared at me like I was being awkward. No apology at all and made me feel not a valued customer. This is the second and last time I will go to this Chemist Warehouse as the first time I went I felt that the staff were bored and didn’t want to be there. There are other chemist warehouses in Mackay, I recommend people take their money there like I will!!!!

I accidentally left a box of nappies in the car park as I was preoccupied getting my son in the car. I phoned the store five minutes later when I realised that I’d forgotten them. The assistant couldn’t see the box outside and said she’d check security cameras. She then insisted I come back and collect a new box free of charge. Kind staff who were very much appreciated by me today!
