I, my partner and our three children have all been to this clinic over the last 10 years. We have seen multiple doctors and both nurses here, and have never had a bad experience. Every doctor has been thorough and has taken the time to examine us properly and manage/refer/follow us up appropriately. I always feel reassured coming here. The only negative is that occasionally you are seen well after your scheduled appt time. In saying that, the high standard/quality of care received far outweighs having to wait sometimes.

Myself and 13yr old daughter have recently moved to Brisbane and needed a new doctor. I expected it to take some time before finding the right fit but found this practice and doctors in the first few months and won't be changing anytime soon. Finding a good doctor is rare these days and Dr Saraya White is amazing! She took the time to listen and was extremely thorough. I highly recommend this practice. Thank you Corrie Street Medical Clinic.

The medical centre moved from bulk billing fee based billing about 6 months ago which is a big disappointment.

Their online booking and Hotdoc clearly states the charge a fee for each consultation and some of the fees are listed there.

Most of the doctors are polite and professionals but they usually see a patient about 15 to 30 minutes late. Some of the female doctors are booked a week in advance.

Off street parking is available.

My doctor for at least the last 20 years retired, the doctor that took his clients had the receptionist contact me to ask why I wanted to see him. I was forced to tell her why which was absolutely none of her business. all I needed was a script filled, nothing major, something I had been prescribe for many years.

I was told that the new doctor did not and would not see me for that reason. Even after my old doctor had assured me that I would not have any dramas what so ever.

I would not recommend them at all, seriously a receptionist insisting to know why I wanted to see a doctor saying if I didn't tell her I wouldn't be allowed to keep my appointment.

extremely disappointed with the complete lack of professionalism.

OUR DAUGHTER DIED

The day after visitingCorrie Street Medical our 2 year old daughter and only child had a cardic arrest and was placed on life support , dying 3 days later . My wife and daughter used Corrie Street Medical Clinic and on February 21st 2023 we took our daughter to see a doctor there. I wont name the doctor as this matter is still with the Coroners office.

We were concerned she had a red rash and high temperature over the last 3 days that wouldn't reduce with Panadol or Nurofen. We were told that it was "just a virus" and being a virus it didn't require antibiotics as her lungs were clear. The doctor knew our daughter had just recovered from RSV a week prior where she required antibiotics. Which that doctor can perscribed.

We were sent for a swab test to identify which virus it was and booked a telehealth appointment for 2pm the next day to get the results.

The next day our daughters condition worsened and when she vomited and stopped drinking water we rushed her to QCH and was seen by a resuscitation team immediately. Whilst I was in ER with her the 2pm telehealth appointment between my wife and the doctor occurred.

The doctor said it was only Influenza A and that we had probably fed her too much water and that is why she vomited. All this without even seeing our daughter.

Just after 2pm our daughter had a heart attack, received 40 minutes of resuscitation and was placed on a heart-lung (ECMO) machine in ICU. She had double pneumonia on arrival and died on the 25th of Fulminant Sepsis and Invasive Strep A after a 3 day stay in ICU.

Once I tried to inform Corrie Street office of my daughters passing the office manager said she would inform the doctor but didn't even ask our daughters name. I had to ask at the end of the call if she wanted to know it.

My wife went to the clinic to talk with the doctor and the doctor wouldn't talk with my wife. The doctor closed the office door in my wife's face. We have never discussed her death with the doctor and can't now due to the coroners investigation.

I want that doctor to know this has ruined our lifes. We buried our daughter on the week of our wedding anniversary. We celebrate bereaved Mothers and Fathers day. My birthday falls on world Sepsis day. You took the light from our life's.

If you value your children's lives I would suggest finding another practice than Corrie Street . Find a doctor that uses an oxygen saturation meter appropriate for the child's age and that doesn't do very quick checks of your child. Panadol/Nurofen is not a panacea.

Learn the signs of Sepsis. Sepsis requires detailed observation from professional to spot. I believe if a competent doctor had seen her that day we could have avoided this tragedy.

I recently visited Dr. Khakima, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional. Dr. Khakima took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed each one with care and expertise. Her approachable demeanor made me feel comfortable discussing my health issues.

What stood out the most was her thoroughness; she explained everything in detail and ensured I understood my treatment options. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients' well-being. The follow-up was also impressive, as she checked in to see how I was doing.

Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Khakima for anyone seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable GP. She truly makes a difference in her patients' lives!
