I have seen Dr Rhian Chatfield for a few things over the past 12-18 months, and have always had a great experience. While things can run late, which is not unusual for every GP, everywhere, there is good reason. Dr Chatfield is patient, takes her time to go through everything, and I’ve never felt rushed. She is extremely knowledgeable.

The clinic itself is really nice, they did a great job with making it look welcoming, professional, and warm. The admin staff have always been very friendly, always happy to help.

Parking has never been an issue - with a large car park on site.

Would recommend for anyone looking for a new Gp.

I'm in the early stages, dealing with The Banyans Medical Centre, however I've found them extremely accommodating, friendly, personable, professional and caring. From all aspects from the reception staff, to the various nurses and doctors. Highly recommended.

Terrible service and extremely expensive.

Firstly, I filled out a new form where it asked if my ever had an «abnormal pap». As an international student, some medical jargon is hard to understand, so I asked if the receptionist could explain what it was, she did not try to explain and instead just reformulated the question. Secondly, I came to the doctor to get a Medical Certificate and had to sit and listen to the doctor who talked a lot about the book he was writing while I just wanted to get medical help and not meditation techniques. I also stated that it was hard being an international student, where the response I got was «I don’t believe that for a second», and then I had to explain what I meant with the statement. Thirdly, the bill was extremely expensive (155AUD for 30minute consultation and a mc).

And finally, my mc was rejected by the university due to the wording of the mc. I called the office and asked to get a new one, where the receptionist said that he was going to send me a new back on mail as soon as he got a hold of the doctor. I did not hear back, and the next day I called back to hear what was going on. The receptionist told me that the doctor was out of office, and would not be back until Monday the next week. I explained that I only have 3 calendar days to re-submit and had to get a new one by Wednesday. She was not understanding, and told me that there was nothing she could do, she could not refund me for the appointment and could not get another GP to sign it. She spoke to me with very little understanding and the tone was not very nice, she eventually just hanged up on the phone and I had to call the university.

Luckily the university was very understanding and made an exception for me since they could hear how stressful the situation was and how little empathy I got at this office. It was not very nice spending several hours on this issue when I could work on assignments, or relax which the doctor recommended .

I would not recommend this place to students and especially not international students.

Stayed at the rehab centre... Took me 2 weeks of complaining just to get some eggs on toast for breakfast...
The weekends are boring as batshit as there's nothing to do and at $1500 a night you'd think there'd be more activities planned. Take plenty of smokes as trying to get a lift to the shops is like asking for a miracle.

I have been going to my doctor Leanne Barron MD, for over three years and via the Banyans Medical Clinic for two of them. My doctor is the best I have ever encountered - bar none! She is so thorough, and whilst being an incredibly busy, in high demand specialist practitioner, is always caring and considerate . . . and the Banyans staff are amazing! So helpful, thoughtful and always willing to adjust my appointment schedule. Thank you everyone, I do appreciate you all.

Dr Rhian Chatfield is very patient, considerate, extremely helpful. Highly commandable! Reception staff are friendly. Its handy to have Ace Pharmcy next door where you are expected to get the services you deserve. Plenty spaces in the car park.

I trust this center and have lot of wonderful and high skilled gp , I personally recommend Dr Ghafour. He listens to you , dont rush you and recommend the best treatments needed
