Disgusting receptionists. No need for the bitter rudeness and condescending remarks and attitude. Sally and Angela need to be removed from their positions. Horrible, disgusting and unprofessional. Don't bring problems from your home and your life into the workplace and take it out on the patients.

I recently had a disappointing experience with JCU Health that I feel compelled to share. As a new patient, I was excited to establish care with my new GP. However, I encountered significant issues with the clinic's receptionist and poor customer service.

After my appointment, I made a payment using their EFTPOS machine. The transaction was approved, and I left only after the receptionist confirmed receipt. Later, I was contacted daily by phone and multiple emails to be told the payment wasn't received. I provided extensive evidence of the transaction, including the receipt number, amount, date, and card details. My bank also confirmed the payment went through.

Despite this, the clinic continued to insist they hadn't received payment and requested additional personal financial documents, which I felt was inappropriate given the information already provided.

What's most frustrating is the lack of follow-up or attempt to resolve the issue from their end. My emails went unanswered, leaving me feeling unvalued as a patient.

While the medical care itself may be good, this experience with their administrative processes and customer service has unfortunately led me to seek care elsewhere. I hope the clinic can improve their payment verification processes and communication to prevent similar issues for other patients in the future.

As far as doctors go, this is one of the best places to go in Townsville. However, who I can only assume is one of the main receptionists is absolutely awful. She would snap questions at me without any context, and then treat me like an idiot for being confused or if I hesitated to answer.

This is a bit problematic considering I have communication deficits, and have been seeing the doctor there for this exact reason.

Went in to get a top up on my amoxacilin, for pneumonia. The Doctor I saw sent me to the hospital. Useless, a complete waste of an appointment.

Hi there, I went to JCU today for a dive medical.
After reading a few very bad reviews....
All I can write is, my experience was very lovely. From the guard at the parking, to the 4th year nurse Holly ( she was very nice and explained everything) to the wonderful Doctor Prasani ( she explained everything as well and was very thorough and very polite and really pleasant).
They said over the phone it will cost $103. And I was able to pay cash. And it was exactly that. I spent about one hour. Even the parking behind the building was free. JCU Health is not too easy to find, but hey, so many friendly people in that building, just ask, as I did.

I have recently been going to JCU medical and I love itl, one particular reason i love it there is a nurse who works there by the name Tess.F. She’s such a kind and welcoming person, she puts me at ease going to a medical centre knowing I am in good hands! Through all this I’ve always seen her to remain professional through out all our encounters! Nurses like Tess deserve recognition on the daily! Thank you JCU medical for your awesome service! ❤️❤️

The professionalism and friendliness and care from this clinic is outstanding . I had a such a warm welcome upon arrival and that followed through with my whole visit . The follow up phone call in regards to my sons sickness really made me feel cared for .

Both my partner and I use JCU health and we've both had nothing but the best of care. The interactions we've had with staff have been professional, straight up and thorough. If we'd have stayed with our previous doctor at another practise we'd certainly be in a spot of bother. Our doctor here at JCU is interested, listens, is knowledgeable, easy to engage with and is focussed on solutions that will improve our health outcomes.
