My partner just had a very unpleasant experience today 16 March 2024. I couldn’t get the lady’s name because she refused to tell me. When my partner went into the room, he said good morning to her but the lady simply ignored him then she answered a call a couple minutes later and kept him waiting for almost 10 mins without asking him to wait for her. My partner’s medicare card is expired and he was trying to sort it out and waited for me to be there. It was 11:10am, my partner asked her what time they finished and she said to my partner “not today, just go home and sort it out. we open at 6:30 on Monday”. my partner then said to her” you haven’t answered my question” and she ignored him. I arrived before 11:30am, same thing happened to me, there’s no greeting, no smile. I first clarified with her whether a photo of his medicare card is enough then I said to her “my partner said you’re very rude to him” then she said to me she didn’t she was just explaining it. I’ve worked with quite a few 4 cyte staff but I have never received such attitudes from them, they are all lovely and helpful. My partner will definitely not be going back there to have his blood test, will go to SNP next Sat.

This is my local pathology, I have been here a number of times and every time I have had a negative experience. They seem to always be rude and disrespectful. And on more than one occasion I have come during opening hours and no one has been there. I now go to any of the other local pathologies over this one.
