I was regrettably disappointed by my experience at the Red Ochre Spa.

Having booked a Bespoke Facial at no small cost, I expected a tailored treatment; however, no questions were asked, nor was my skin assessed, leaving me to wonder what exactly made it “Bespoke.”

The ambiance was far from soothing. Ceiling lights shone directly down on me, and instrumental covers of pop songs played in the background, making it difficult to feel truly relaxed.

The facial itself lacked fluidity, with clunky transitions between steps. The therapist concentrated excessively on my chin, neglecting areas like my temples and offering only cursory attention to the rest of my face. This was particularly problematic during the exfoliation, where my chin was harshly and uncomfortably scrubbed for an extended period.

By the end of the session, my skin still felt dry—especially around the lower face. I even had to return to my hotel room to apply my own moisturiser.

For a treatment priced at $180 and marketed as bespoke, I found the technique and overall experience at Red Ochre Spa underwhelming and disappointing.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Red Ochre spa. I did the Red Ochre retreat, 75 minute flash facial and massage with therapist Emma who was absolutely fantastic. The whole experience with Emma was incredibly relaxing, beautifully executed and an all round amazing experience. The spa itself is beautiful, with a robe and slippers provided on arrival and a beautifully set out waiting area and relaxation area after your treatment. Really happy I visited and would recommend to others. The lady at reception was also fantastic.

I had a body massage and it is nice to treat yourself while you’re there. Though I wish a little head or feet massage is included considering the price you pay. The massage is softer than a Thai massage so if you’re used to Thai massage you should ask for firm pressure.
Must book in advance to secure a spot as they get full being the only spa there.
Clean & calming environment with lockers, shower and toilet, temp in the room was just right and staff is very efficient & always professional.
You have to remove all clothes & wear the disposal underwear, robe & slippers provided. Clothes & personal things can be locked away in your own personal locker.

An awesome way to unwind after a few long days of hiking around the national park. Great friendly staff and given the isolation relatively compatible pricing to other 5 star spas.

After walking 19,000 steps around Uluru the Red Spa 30 min massage and 30 min facial package was total bliss. Ms French (Melissa?) fingers were like angels dancing on my face. So worth it.

From start to finish, Natalie was the epitome of professionalism and organisation, taking care of every little detail and ensuring that I felt completely relaxed and pampered throughout the entire experience.

The treatment itself was nothing short of heavenly, featuring a luxurious massage, invigorating facial, indulgent body wrap, nourishing hair treatment, and soothing scalp massage. Each element of the treatment was expertly executed, leaving me feeling completely renewed and rejuvenated from head to toe.

But what really stood out to me about my experience with Natalie was her attention to detail and her commitment to providing an exceptional level of service. From the moment I arrived, she took care of every little thing, ensuring that I had everything I needed to fully relax and enjoy my treatment. Her professionalism and expertise were evident in every aspect of the experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better spa treatment or a better therapist for my spa day.

The most lovely spa experience I’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, everything was done with care and detail which I really noticed compared to other places I’ve been. Eka was fantastic and the massage was absolutely perfect, which I can almost never say. She knew which areas were more sensitive/tender and changed pressure accordingly without me having to request it. I would return any time and highly recommend.
