As a man of Scientology, I was quite upset to figure out that they offer no solutions or comforts for my religion. I was about to leave the premises when the manager came rushing out from the bathroom, pulling up his pants mid sprint. He told me that the Catholic Church and Scientology are basically the same thing and that I'm "coolin G". I didn't understand what he meant by that but I was relieved to know that his hands were soggy from fresh water and not other juices. John Travolta was there at the time and backing me up saying stuff like "hit that" "hit that quan". I loved him in Grease so you know I had to hit that. The Quan i mean. I was offered a great deal of care however I was disappointed with the location as I had to unicycle about 68kms at the speed of 5kmph every hour... 🙁

Overall happy with the service and I am now enlisted on a special list for loving too hard. I am glad to have that Catholic care as I would be in jail right now otherwise.

Posting this almost 2 years after the fact but just had to say that during a time when I was facing homelessness due to DV and mental health problems these guys were the only organisation in Darwin to genuinely try to help me.

I must have called a dozen places only to be told "sorry, nothing we can do", but Catholic Care responded with "maybe we know of somewhere you don't" and spent days contacting people trying to find me help. In the end all they could offer was counselling, apparently there was no help available in the NT for an over 25 yr old single woman with no kids. I do hope this has changed since then but the counselling session did help a little for my short-term sanity.

Better late than never I guess: thank you for genuinely caring and trying.

Hi Nerf-Herder

Good for you mate that they helped your son through difficult time.

As for me, on the other hand, had a very bad experience with their Senior Contract Manager, Steven Lendrum.

Whoever deal with this person---just be very extra careful to not fall into his trap, especially if you are a ‘woman’. Word of advice, make sure you’ll get your much needed advice/assistance to solve the issues/problems in your life before going any further with his ‘service’, that if you don’t want to end up like me…

It’s really sad to post about a place that is supposed to help people and this place really don’t help out and makes it hard to move forward in life when it comes to kids change over, as a man I have to wait 6 weeks until you can get a meeting for 30mins or less there is nothing special about the service then you have to pay a fee each time you do a hand over that
It’s really sad when workers at catholic care are friends with the kids mum and makes it harder to see you child
order was made September 15 2021 and I still have not seen my child
I can see why mental health/health issues is so
In Darwin

This service needs to be change government should look into this service
Something is fishy here
