It's a small outlying hospital in East Arnhem about 700km (as the crow flies) from Darwin. (It's probably 1000km by road) It has a CT scanner. There is a regular commercial air link to Darwin. The big local business is the bauxite mine, which is due to close. Probably a very useful resource for the adjacent population.

Located in the heart of Nhulunbuy (Gove), this Hospital caters for emergencies and a variety of other medical services.
There is a helicopter pad right out the front of the Hospital. Obviously this caters for remote incidents.

Plenty of parking at the front and to the rear (right hand side of the emergency entrance). Wheelchair ♿ access and parking is available.

Doctors, nurses & other staff all excellent.
They took amazing care of my husband for the last couple of days after his accident. From the time we were picked up in Borroloola by air ambulance to our arrival in Gove & then transported to the hospital he has been taken care of so well.
Thankfully we can continue our holiday.

Absolutely disgraceful,was forced to bring vomiting daughter home at 1am bcus we were made to wait out the front of hospital for half an hour, asked for water for her but was told we would have to wait 10 minutes after half hour she was begging me for water🤬
