My mother was recently at maitland private and we were extremely disappointed with the room as it was very old and worn, with what looked like unhygienic carpet. It was a share room which was very small with no view other than a blank wall., and the odour of the other patient was so bad at times, visitors had to leave the room to breathe and recover. Unfortunately my mother was stuck in her room with the smell.
This should not happen in a private setting!
Luckily the staff were friendly

"I had an exceptional experience with Dr Ushank Ranasinghe. He took the time to listen to all of my concerns and thoroughly explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. Terrible had surgery recently was put in a room in surgical the bed didn't work also there was no bulb in the lamp behind the bed. Very old room the food wasn't that great for a private hospital and some of the staff picked the wrong job.

Recently had hip replacement surgery and a 3 day stay. Every staff member I encountered were just great. The meals were very nice and a special mention to the rehab staff, who do a great job. Loved the heated pool too.

Thank you so much to all the amazing staff at Maitland Private. My daughter had Day Surgery today and all the staff were caring and so very helpful. They went well out of their way to make her feel comfortable and calm. We cannot thank you all enough. Would happily recommend Maitland Private to anyone.
