I have been visiting the Mall Medical Centre for the past 11 years and always I have found all the staff to be friendly, kind, and helpful. Today I had a skin cancer check by the very professional and experienced Doctor Panel. He is calm, knowledgeable, kind, thorough and has a sense of humour, which is always appreciated.

On 13th August at 11:25am I called this clinic to request a referral to see specialists in another city. After initially speaking with a receptionist, I was transferred to the clinic manager. As an immigrant, English is not my first language, and while I was trying to provide the clinic’s details (address, phone number, email), the manager began to express frustration, claiming she couldn’t understand me due to my accent.

The situation quickly escalated as she continued to be rude, repeatedly putting me on hold without notice whenever she had difficulty understanding me. At no point did she apologize for the misunderstanding. Eventually, she transferred me to another staff member who, like me, is also an immigrant. This staff member was able to understand me perfectly and even apologized for the treatment I received.

I believe this experience reflects a case of xenophobia, as the manager showed a lack of patience and respect simply because I speak English with an accent. This behavior is unacceptable, especially from someone in a managerial position.

On a positive note, Dr. Kersey has always provided me with the best care possible, and I have nothing but praise for her. Unfortunately, the overall service at the clinic leaves much to be desired.

Called & got a same-day appointment. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and efficient. I couldn’t recommend Dr Sophie Daniels enough! She was extremely thorough, understanding and kind. I left my appointment feeling understood, well-informed and very reassured. If I lived in-town then I would 100% have her as my regular GP!

The person I spoke with at reception couldn't give me an option/reassurance that I could still.get an emergency prescription as I'm planning to go overseas and in short of 2 weeks worthy of meds. The doctor was awesome
