I never looked after my skin, no facial routines or even sunscreen. But after doing a consult with Rebecca, she started me on a basic routine to help and constantly checks up on me and my skin care. Appointments are super relaxed and she makes me feel like I'm at home. Would definitely recommend Dermal Edit if you need skin treatment, if you're unsure just head in for a consult cause Rebecca is your girl.

I’ll start off by saying I’ve actually never, ever written a google review before. And that itself should speak volumes about what I’m about to write.

For many years, I’ve been hesitant on going to get a facial simply due to the fact that I had an extremely traumatic facial a few years back. This triggered bad skin reactions as a result of the abrasive treatments they recommended. But my skin was in dire need of a pick me up, so I would constantly be on Instagram clicking in and out of facial clinics looking for the ‘right’ place. But I never had the confidence to book in an appointment, nothing resonated with me. Until one day, I had randomly come across Rebecca’s Instagram page. And for some reason, I felt that I would be okay if I left my skin in her hands. I should also add, her and I have no connection or history whatsoever. So instinctively trusting someone who I’ve never met is quite a gamble in itself. But I thought, let’s just do it.

Once I walked into her clinic, my first impression was how calm, personable and attentive Rebecca was. For someone who also has social anxiety, I always build myself up to that moment where I have to meet someone new. Especially when you’ll be one-on-one with them for a long duration of time. But instantly, I knew I picked the right place. As I sat through the consult, she was so thorough and knowledgeable. Throughout the treatment, she would tell me exactly what she was doing to ensure I was regularly kept informed on what she was applying to my face. After the treatment, she didn’t pressure me into buying any products or rebooking (another fear of mine). Though, she sent through a prescription after my appointment with suggestions as to what I could use to improve my skin. Let me just say, my skin was so incredibly soft and plump after my treatment. I had never felt my skin like this!!! There’s always little bumps in my cheek area which were stubborn. And as someone with acne prone skin - I am so happy to report back that my skin was not once triggered, no breakouts! If anything it was better!

Without a second thought, I booked in my second appointment. And this one is for all my introverted friends or people who lead a busy life. SILENT TREATMENTS. I had found out that Rebecca offered silent treatments. These treatments are exactly that. Silence. Peace. Time to yourself. Space to unwind. I had a terrible week and wanted to just be in silence away from the noise of my day to day life. So I contacted Rebecca to ask for her Silent Treatments option. She responded promptly and was so kind about it, there was no judgement at all. She even asked me what I’d like in the background my own playlist, podcast or I was just happy to have her playlist in the background.

Once I arrived to my appointment, she greeted me at the door. She got me into the room instantly, offered me water/tea and straight into my treatment I went. That’s all there was to it. No pressure of having to speak, no awkwardness, no judgement or tension. I was given the chance to take care of my own well-being physically, mentally and emotionally. Once the treatment no longer needed her there, she would temporarily leave the room to give you space. And from there, I drifted off and fell asleep. Once again, I was left with soft, glowy and bouncy skin. There was no abrasive treatments that left me breaking out as other places have!

I want to end this long review by thanking Rebecca for giving me the confidence to be able to improve my skin, without the fear of breaking out. As well as, giving me a safe spot where I can look after myself without any pressures. I get so excited when my appointments are coming up because I know I will be looked after. So thank you for all you do!!! And I leave my skin in your hands 🙂
