The service is great, when you eventually get it. I must agree with other reviewers that the waiting times for this place are immensely long. I’m used to waiting a long time for doctors, but not the amount that you do here. The reasons are very simple - they overbook their doctors, and the doctors tend to take up more time with patients than they really need to.

The other thing I find frustrating with this practice is their stupid app. The thing hardly ever works. You open it up, and you are faced with nothing but error messages. What is the point of using an app to book appointments, if the stupid thing never works? You end up having to book your appointments by phone.

Worst wait times ever. No matter what time you book the appointment for, you are going to be always called an hour late. Tried different doctors, different times but apparently nothing works in this place. Me and my partner had booked an appointment to see Dr. Varuni @ 1220 and 1240 consecutively to check our blood test reports. When we arrived, we were told that the doctor was running late and that there would be about an hour delay. Well we ended up waiting for more than 1.5hrs after our respective appointment times. I understand that it can be frustrating working in this place for the front staff and I appreciate some of the front staff’s friendly behaviour. But this place could seriously use a better management system. If there has been a delay of more than an hour for an appointment, they should at least have the decency to send a text message notifying us of the delay. Especially on a weekday, we have to manage the appointment times and our own work schedules. It is not like we are sitting around at home doing nothing and want to wait for more than 1.5hrs for A BOOKED APPOINTMENT. Absolutely ridiculous!

According my review love going to this centre, not just for myself but for the whole family. Dr. Shiv saini as always has always been amazing for looking after us. Knows the history of my health especially for my little bub. Never missed to remind me when i’m due for any procedure. Honestly, I would follow his if ever he move centre as I could never find a GP like his. There might be a bit of a wait, but would never mind waiting as sometimes he would squeeze us in on his schedule even booked out. Never have a problem with Reception too, very accomodating and nice people.

So, I initially said I wouldn’t review them because I know it's super busy right now with everyone rushing in due to the sickness trend. My first appointment was with Dr. D around 9 AM. I ended up waiting an hour because he was seeing way too many patients. Apparently, the appointment times don’t mean much there, which was super frustrating. I talked to the receptionists about being late for work because my hour-long allowance was wasted just waiting. They offered to rebook me with Dr. H for the next day, which I accepted after requesting a different doctor.

Today was my second day, and even though my appointment was at 9:30 AM, by 10:05 AM, I still hadn't been called. I left before even getting my check-up done. Shout out to the friendly staff, but honestly, I’m really fed up with the poor service and the ridiculous wait times. It wasn’t like this when Dr. Shiv was around.

Very poor service. Today i have taken an appointment from Dr. Jasenthu Fernando at 11:30 am. It's 12:36 pm and they still keep me in pending. The behaviour of the receptionists is not satisfactory. Every time I asked them the reasons for the delay, they got irritated. Totally unprofessional, they just don’t care about the time of the patients. If possible I could give them a negative rating for their unprofessional behaviour.

The MyHealth admin team has displayed a lack of professionalism. A few days ago, I scheduled my daughter’s immunization appointment with Dr. Varuni for Monday morning. Given the importance of immunizations, I took time off from work to ensure I could be there. I arrived exactly at the scheduled time, only to be told by the receptionist that Dr. Varuni wasn't available that day. The staff mentioned that I might have been notified about her absence the previous day, but I never received any such call or message. I always attend calls and check messages, yet no communication was sent to me regarding the cancellation. This not only wasted my time but also showed a complete disregard for the patients' schedules and the importance of clear communication.

If they knew in advance that Dr. Varuni was on leave for some reason, why didn’t they send out system-generated text messages to all the patients who had appointments booked with her? It would have been a simple and efficient way to inform everyone, avoiding unnecessary trips and disruption to our schedules. Failing to provide this basic level of communication reflects poorly on the clinic’s organizational and administrative processes.

My question is, are you going to compensate me for the day off I had to take from work? Due to the lack of proper communication from your side, I wasted my time and missed a full day of work. It's only fair to expect some form of compensation for this inconvenience caused by your mismanagement.

This review is only based on this particular experience I’ve had which offended and disappointed me the most after being a frequent patient with MyHealth Blacktown.

I would like to say first that Dr. Jonas, Dr. Varuni, and Dr. Sam have been incredible and helpful doctors and appreciate them a lot, it is unfortunate of their limited availability but it is understandable. 5 stars to them all the way.

The unfortunate experience I have had is with Dr. Deb. I have made a couple appointments with him before when my usual doctors weren’t available and he was alright but today, I waited an hour for this appointment and I had received a call from my dentist a while before my name was called. When I heard my name, he saw I was on the phone and I quickly ended my call to proceed my appointment. Dr. Deb said “it’s okay, I will call on the next patient” and I was confused, he rudely said “do you want to proceed with that call or go continue with this appointment?”, of course I wanted to continue my appointment, I ended my call as quick as I could and I’ve waited an hour. In the end, he couldn’t help me with my circumstance and told me to see my usual doctor as they understood my situation better (though there are records on the system). I’ve would’ve been totally okay with the outcome of this if I hadn’t waited an hour and if he wasn’t so rude. I understand he’s busy and seeing patients back to back but I would never speak to anyone the way he did.

Regular visitor here. Although the staff here are lovely, the centre is managed very poorly. Doctors are badly overbooked which means on average I am waiting at least an hour to see my doctor (booked appointment) every time. On top of that, if you cancel an appointment they charge you $20 for every no show. Very unfair considering the management of their centre is already very poor.

Go up
