Have been a patient here for over 7 years and have had nothing but positive experiences from the regular doctors I see. Dr Kathage and Dr Prior are both Wonderful and the best GPs I've ever had. Regardless of moving I've stayed with this practice for years, and utilise it for my children also. I had an appointment today with a GP I'd never met, due to my regular GP cancelling unexpectedly, and was met with judgement, rudeness, dispersement of my regular medication that now costs me additional funds, accusations of medication usage and my mental health care plan (which simply needed reviewing to access the additional 4 sessions) not done - leaving me out of pocket for my psychologist today at full cost. As someone who has suffered significant mental health issues over the past few years and who has been supported by the GPs within this clinic - the way I was treated today made me feel disappointed and disgusting. All my medical notes would be on my file including my severe mental health concerns and I am flabbergasted that I was dismissed and made to feel like a drug addict whilst attending my usual, long term medical practice. I am now feeling very vulnerable, unable to access my mental health care provider due to cost restrictions and all of this is at no fault of my own due to several cancellations of my regular GP and the hostility of the GP I saw today.

I couldn’t see my GP or anyone at the Watson medical centre for a week. So I looked at their sister practice East Canberra General Practice. I was able to get an appointment on the day. I saw Dr Michael Johnson he was AWSOME. Very thorough and also helped me with some of my ongoing medical issues. I would highly recommend him.

Wonderful. I’ve had a terrible experience with my last doctor and it was so refreshing to be listened to and have active treatment suggested. My doctor was a delight and the receptionist was nice n smiley. 😊

The reception staff were very welcoming and professional whilst the Specialist, Dr Fabian Chiong was a kind man who immediately put me at my ease. He was informative and pleasant to deal with. I like that the East Canberra has various doctors to choose from. My Dr. Mary Jane Micua was very welcoming and made me feel at home while having the consultation. I appreciate her personal touch and detailed explanation. Especially am new in the country and it's my first pregnancy in Australia. She did a job well done, will definitely come back to her.

Telehealth appointment booked this morning for 5:00 pm. Dr was on time, and the consult couldn’t have been easier. Medical certificate sent by email, and checked before appointment end. Didn’t have to leave my bed! Outstanding! Thank you Dr Aumarah & East Canberra GP.

Without going into details, I can say that the doctor I consulted with today went above and beyond what I expected. I have seen other doctors at the same place and have always been impressed with their care, knowledge and professionalism. I can certainly recommend this practice.
