I had to have my beautiful best friend of almost 13 years put down suddenly. I was so lucky that the amazing vet allowed me to take her home and have a few days with her first. It meant the world. The vets and nurses looked after me with so much love and care and the amazing ladies at the front desk did too. Helping with the right cremation to go with. They sent me a card with her paw prints nose print and a bit of her fur a few days later too. It's the little things like this that make them amazing to work with ❤️

My brothers always taken his dog there for health check ups and injuries the dogs had and always looked after the animal while it recovers. Still at 19 yrs old he's in great shape ánd doesn't have the appearance that most older dogs would show, weary when they get up to walk , he still is very alert .The dogs coat looks awesome.

On a Saturday Morning, my 2.5-year-old dachshund got bitten by a toxic insect. I called the Yass Valley Vet for their emergency services - My local Vet, as I live 4 minutes away - I was directed that I was "better off" going to Canberra instead (around an Hours drive) and that the next available appointment within radius was at Murrumbateman Vet in 4 hours' time. Meanwhile my dachshund was getting severely worse and on the brink of anaphylactic shock - these concerns were voiced with staff.
As no practical nor helpful options were available to us in Yass I ended up travelling to Canberra. My dachshund was seen within minutes on arrival and was informed his condition was extremely severe and treated as a tier 1 Emergency. The lack of duty of care shown by this Practice is extremely concerning. As a Pet owner I am disappointed that my LOCAL Practice couldn't do anything to help when the whole point of using them as a First POC was to get HELP as soon and as close as possible.

We have received services from Yass Valley Vet PRIOR to new management/owners and was satisfactory. Overpriced even with Pet insurance, but satisfactory. This practice is almost never available or have no Vet on Call and don't seem to have any interest in assisting their local and loyal Pet owners. I will no longer be visiting or recommending this Vet for any planned or Emergency services. The Goulburn Vet is further but offers advice and availability even with the minimal staff they have (and don't complain about).

The team at Yass Veterinary Hospital have been amazing with my fur family. From Puppy 🐶 School to all Veterinary needs.. general and emergency. They have given us time and shown such compassion when the times have been rough. And show great care for all general health check-ups. I'm glad we have such a lovely team looking after our Pet's health.

Dr Stuart and his team genuinely care for the pets they look after. My cat, Rixon, recently had surgery on his knee and Stuart has kept track and given the best care I’ve ever seen from a vet. Would recommend this vet to anyone in the area for the best care for your animals.
