Avoid unless you have lots of money to burn! The radiologists were skilled and empathetic but this did not make up for the distress that being charged almost DOUBLE the price that Mater Imaging had quoted me for some imaging and procedures caused. If I had been given accurate pricing upfront I would have gone elsewhere. The company then refused to charge me correctly as an outpatient despite the procedures having been done prior to my being admitted to hospital. This meant that none of the costs, which were significant, contributed towards the Medicare threshold resulting in my being unable to afford some other essential cancer services.

Hidden prices,must make sure before surgery, after you pay $$$, they seem to ignore you and delay processing the rebate. I followed up with them repeatedly, and the lady promised to process it with my insurance company and Medicare. However, after four weeks, I am still waiting for my money.

I have breast implants and always had horrible , painful mammograms . This was not the case at Materimaging . It was pain free , will never go any place else . Thank you !

I just had Scott and Dr Mckessar do an ultrasound and biopsy for me. Both talked me through the whole process and were extremely gentle. Reception staff are also worth their weight in gold. Only down side is you now need to pay for the parking.

What a great medical facility. Came in today (16/05/2024) for an Ultrasound and biopsy on my chest and from the reception team to the doctors, nurses and specialists, I could not have had a more nicer, friendly and consultative experience.
Thank you to all involved for the care and professionalism. Five stars

Disappointed with Admin services and scan person today. Better personal treatment of patients and care in communications is required. They have done better in the past. I will now go elsewhere for imaging in the future. I would not want to repeat the ordeal I had today. Please have staff and “specialists” given improved training, including the significance of “listening skills”. If a patient is asked to bring in their additional imaging, from elsewhere, please insure the “specialist” takes time to actually check them carefully, all of them , including the source and actual dates if they are to provide concise and coherent analysis. Thanks.

The sonographer told me the sex of my child at 36 weeks despite just having a conversation that I didn’t know the sex and wanted a surprise. My husband was not with me at the time so I had to decide whether to also tell him and this stress I’m sure contributed to me going into spontaneous labour that evening. To top it off my OB never received the details of the scan.

Confirming in regards to their response below I emailed them more details - 2 months later have not received a response.

Great practice, I rang 15 radiologists in Sydney for an emergency appointment and this is the only practice who was interested in accommodating me. Thank you Jacqueline in particular for being so kind.
