Staff were so friendly and professional for my recent procedure. Made me feel very welcome and comfortable in an environment where you naturally feel a bit anxious. We're so lucky to have such great people working in our health system.

The staff at Sydney Day Surgery Hospital have earned my utmost appreciation and admiration for their exceptional professionalism and humanistic approach towards patients. I am profoundly grateful to them for their exemplary care and treatment of my daughter during her recent tonsil lift surgery under the expert supervision of Dr. Philip Young. Their compassionate care and concern for my well-being were evident when I fainted due to my inability to witness my daughter in distress, and they provided me with free medical attention and nourishing food. They ensured my safety and comfort before allowing me to leave the premises. My words of gratitude are inadequate to express my deep appreciation for their outstanding service. Thanks for everyone

A big shout out to all involved in my dental surgery yesterday.
From reception to discharge I was given exemplary care.
I was met with professionalism, warmth and humour.
Pre op my surgeon and anaesthetist took the time to clearly explain the procedure and outline post op expectations. Special thanks to my anaesthetist for his kindness and humour, giving me every confidence to go into theatre.
In recovery I was again cared for by wonderfully attentive staff. Thank you to these cheerful , kind nurses. You do a fantastic job.
In summary I could not recommend Sydney Day surgery highly enough.

8 hour wait, what a joke. I was told explicitly to show up at 6:45am, and wasn’t called in until 4:pm.

When I asked when I would be seen they wouldn’t even give me an estimate…

Good job on making an already terrible experience even worse.

Just had surgery this morning, I was very nervous. As soon as you get in you are taken care of and are in great hands. Shout- out to the beautiful lovely Receptionist (My apologies for not getting your name) greeted me with kindness, empathy and good humour. Thank you to the beautiful Nurse Ange. Your angelic, caring and calming nature put me at ease. God bless you all. Also, to the Anaesthetics Nurse who I held his hand for dear life, God bless you.

NOT RECOMMENDED. I had to beg for pain relief after dental surgery here when insufficient local anesthetic was given during the procedure. I initially asked a Nurse Lisa Van Dorsen for pain relief who then went on break, and she was surprised this wasn’t given when she came back to her shift. Clearly there is poor communication at this day surgery, and I was repeatedly called the wrong name by staff.

I was eventually offered pain relief when a support person came to the waiting room to advocate for me. Staff were dismissive and patronizing, particularly the Anesthetist Marcus Ierino. Dr Ierino also kept repeatedly touching me on the shoulder, without my consent. When asking for names of the staff who treated me, Nurse LJ initially refused to give me their last names. Horrible experience, would recommend booking your procedure elsewhere if you can.

I’ve been here 3 times now for the same surgery, and my most recent visit March 8 2022 was the best experience I’ve had at Sydney Day Surgery. The last time I was here back in 2020 I gave some feedback as I encountered a very rude nurse during recovery, she had a temper and didn’t treat the recovery patients well. I’m glad my most recent experience was quite the opposite.

The nurses and staff took care of me so well from beginning to end of my stay here. I was feeling anxious before surgery and it was nurse Ange and another nurse who did their best to care for me and comfort me when I was crying. They are friendly, warm, welcoming, and know how to empathise and care for patients who are feeling anxious. They made my experience enjoyable. Nurse Ange mentioned to me she loves working here, and I could tell the relationship the staff have with each other is great and supportive which made me feel at ease. During recovery, nurse Kirsty (I think that’s her name) was also very accomodating and helpful. She was patient with me and didn’t rush my recovery time as I was still waking up from the anaesthetic. Thank you so much to the nurses who made my stay and experience a pleasant one, I can’t thank you enough! I hope they can read this, as I didn’t get a chance to say thank you to them after.

It seems like there’s a new batch of nurses and staff here now compared to 2020, and I must say the level of excellence and care is definitely seen and felt. If I may need to return here for future surgeries, I can be at peace knowing I will be taken care of with utmost care.

I had surgery there in 2022 and yesterday. Kudos to the healthcare team there, twice going there and both greaaat experience, I hope for not coming back (for a good reason)!

The only nurse I remember her name was Nurse Angela (I met her again yesterday!), she's for real an angel and sweetheart! I can see she's truly passionate what she does, not just career wise but also helping people and calming patients.

I hope great things return to the healthcare team there and thank you for your service to the community.
