Such a positive experience! As someone that has been undergoing weekly blood tests for the last 3 months it can certainly be a daunting process BUT have been fortunate enough to be going to Lavertys at Newport... am always seen by Sharon, while she shows such professional expertise, its her compassion and care that really means so much especially when going through a tough time, she always greets me with a warm and welcoming smile which really makes my day.. l now look forward to seeing her each week as l know she cares and there is no pain at all...

I found all areas of this service to be excellent. Sharon was able to quickly and accurately manage my testing and was skilled at veinipuncture to collect the appropriate samples. I would highly recommend this site for pathology testing.

Have been here a few times, and service always good. Sometimes the staff member is on their own, so patience is needed but they are always thorough in checking everything and performing blood tests. Sharon is excellent. I have also had tests done by a male nurse who was excellent too.

Avoid this location at all cost! Went in for a basic blood test. A test I have had multiple times at various pathologies without issue. The nurse was clearly insufficiently trained and unsupervised. She tried twice in one arm without success, leaving significant bruising. She then sent me to Dee Why for collection, a 30 min peak hour commute. At Dee Why the nurse undertook the test without issue. It cost me a total of 1.5 hours in waiting and travel time. The nurse at Dee Why lifted my bandages to view the vein from previous test. She was visibly taken aback with the bruising that had developed, so much so she couldn't see the veins to assess. I have never previously bruised from a blood test. The Dee Why experience was faultless and I thank that nurse for her care and compassion.
Laverty need to address the Newport issue promptly as it is a shame local residents have to travel 30mins for a competent collection location.
If you are a local and unable or unwilling to travel to Dee Why, ask your Dr to direct you to a non Laverty pathology.

15min wait time for the employee to refill necessary items. No one else waiting except us two. Then pops out to tell us he needs to attend to someone first, person walks in minutes later without number and gets attended to. Avoid at all cost. Unprofessional.

Have opening times of 9am til 11am. Pregnant women waiting outside for 30 minutes in the cold and rain and still nobody has shown up. Absolutely disgraceful
