I've been struggling to find a good Dr for a while that feels they genuinely care and are looking to help fix your problems. I was recommended to see Dr Seshu Mandapati from my GP and she had been a breath of fresh air. She still seems passionate about her job, she's been thorough and genuine in helping me figure out what's going on and helping me find the best option to fix things. She's been wonderful I highly recommend her.

I was seen by Dr Seshu and Deb and both were so warm and kind that they made me feel very comfortable, not to mention their examination was thorough and made sure that everything was clear to me and that I understood. Reception staff over the phone and in person were all so warm as well. I need to return in three weeks for a biopsy and I feel I will be really cared for.

Been visiting this practice for many years and won’t be back after today experience. Took my 1yo son to a standard appointment. Was nearly half an hour late to be seen in an early morning time slot (which I can understand), but when my appointment was 6 minutes longer than the standard 15 minute consult I was charged an extra $60 on top of the already $100+ fee. I’ve noticed on prior visits the reverse doesn’t apply for appointments shorter than 15 mins. Cash grab and ripping off clients.

Misdiagnosed & given really inappropriate & life threatening treatments, then treated like “a problem” & banned from the surgery after presenting with serious side effects from medications (sodium valproate) that should never have been given to me in the first place. Left with no GP during a major health crisis caused by the ongoing neglect of my GP Wendy Bridges. 7 years later I finally have a correct diagnosis - Wendy’s incompetence & irresponsibility led to 6 years of over medication & abuses by the mental health system. For the record Wendy, I’m adhd & autistic, and the physical health issues were just autistic burnout. Thanks for nothing. I trusted you, and don’t I feel like a goose.

*update* it’s been two years since I left this review, and the only people to contact me about it since then have been other people who have had very similar experiences. The surgery hasn’t contacted me at all, and has not replied to my review, either publicly or privately. I’d like to offer support & understanding to anyone else who has suffered as a patient at this surgery - please don’t feel like you are alone, and please know that you deserved appropriate care & respect. And also Dr Amiri the Persian Doctor is a blessing, kind, intelligent, caring and gentle as a doctor should be!!!

The receptionists are the friendliest and most professional here amongst all the other businesses or doctors surgeries I have tried in 10 years.

The place is super clean.
And I just don’t understand why some have left a negative review.

I’m the most difficult person on earth to please, and I am very very fussy. And outspoken.

This surgery is the best in Newcastle, with receptionists and doctors very kind.

Michael was just a pleasure to deal with and he quickly addressed my concerns.

Parts of being a doctor is to care and be kind and gentle , and this surgery has that.

Dr Belinda & Dr Jo are both such amazing GPs. Not only professional & knowledgeable but so kind, caring and compassionate. I feel so glad to have my family under their expert care.
The receptionists and nurses have always been wonderful and incredibly helpful.

Appointment cancelled with 30 minutes notice. Offer to reschedule for 1 month later. Great thanks. Not that I needed that appointment today.

What was once a good surgery has sadly decline significantly in recent years. Oh and don't bother trying to call them. Longer wait times then Telstra.

Doctors here are incredibly hit and miss. We've seen four and two are friendly and well informed while the other two I would refuse to see again and they both overcharged for the privilege for not being at all helpful or knowledgeable. Nurses are beautiful! And att: practice manager, you don't need me to call you to discuss you may just want to fix the irregularities. A-lot of the reviews are very similar.
