I just started seeing Dr. Neil it was amazing I was taken in very quickly. The front desk is fantastic especially Natasha, so I am on month six I believe and I can still call Natasha directly and she’ll always return my call same day, but usually actually answers the phone immediately, but it’s definitely a well oiled machine. I feel like I’m being treated as a person not a number . Anyone looking for a great place this is it! Ask for Natasha she’s amazing!

The doctors and knowledgeable and professional. The issue is layers of scheduling, front desk, back office, administrative and other that poorly communicate with each other and patients are often victims of their gaps in working more efficiently with each other which reflects with patients waiting longer for appointments having to go for many more steps than necessary to address basic communication such as appointment schedules, prescription call ins, hearing back from office staff on post visit follow ups. Administrators force their process on patients that suffer from anxious, low mood, irritability, anger and the processes, bed side manners and communication style appears neglectful and not positive supportive and helpful which is what it is supposed to be for patients suffering from the ailments this practice would treat. Administrators have a log of work to do to step away from negligently addressing patience while doctors have a gap in ability to correct that behavior to a more pleasant and productive outcome.

I personally see Dr. Shah or his PA, both of which are fantastic and deeply supportive and caring. That said, my mother sees one of the other Doctors at Florida Behavioral Medicine, and she is exceedingly blessed by the care she receives as well. All that said, the front desk staff is above and beyond wonderful as well. They go the extra mile to make sure that you are taken care of, including calling to schedule follow-up appointments if you've forgotten to schedule one, and reminding you of your upcoming appointments once their scheduled. I can't say enough good about this office, they've even gotten me in for a rush appointment when I had missed their calls and realized I was far past due for a follow-up appointment.

Simply put, they're simply the best!

Worst Dr's office I've ever been to. Also "Dr" A. Patel doesn't listen to a thing you say (average appointment less than 3 minutes). He doesn't care what you are saying and license should be revoked. Also there's something suspicious about their billing, so be very careful if you decide to go here.

Almost forgot he ignores the mental health issues you might have been diagnosed with by previous Dr's. So just please don't go here.

I made an appointment with this clinic and based on that experience alone I would NOT recommend FBM. The providers may be good, but I’ll never find out because their office staff is inept. I found this clinic and a provider who works here specifically looking at places that accepted EAP— a service I have through my employer. On the phone, I was told that yes, they take EAP. That turned out to be false because later when someone called me to confirm the appointment they told me I had an almost $200 copay due and they don’t accept EAP.

My biggest issue was that on my intake call, the person making my appointment didn’t once ask me what my ‘issues’ are or what I need to be seen for, she didn’t care either when I started to tell her. I was asking for her help on who to book with, she was no help at all. I was sent the wrong paperwork to fill out, then sent an email with all caps URGENT FILL THIS OUT ASAP- totally unprofessional. Then, I got two different emails to confirm my appointment with different times. I confirmed one via their online system. The next day staff called me to again confirm appointment and said I need to be there early for a urinalysis. Why? No one ever mentioned that and I specifically said I am not there for medicine. The very basic communication skills are lacking here, and for that I would steer clear of this place. Unorganized and unprofessional from the start.

Should have listened to the reviews. Front desk receptionists were so rude and not professional. Made me take a drug test to see which medicine I have taken recently. Not cool. Took two weeks for them to get authorization from my insurance and nobody ever picks up the phone. I have been trying to get in contact with the medical assistant and Dr. Patel and have not heard anything back from them in days. Overall, I wish I went elsewhere.

I love Florida Behavioral Medicine because they have taken care of my psychiatric needs for ten years. The doctor is caring and all support personal from the Front Desk to Medical Assistant are pleasant, helpful and they know me by name. It is like coming home, they are familiar and fantastic at their jobs.

I hate to do this truly but it's gotta be done...I don't want more patients to experience what I recently did..
Tasha,a front desk girl, took my call the day after my Dr and I missed eachother on the phone appt that was scheduled. When I called the next day to reschedule, Tasha answered. Big mistake! Rude, no tact, disrespectful tone teŕibly!
☆ Carlos, a new guy there, was 10x more professional, the day before on a call I'd made there.
Sorry Dr. Shah, this is just my honest opinion of the offc currently. Dr. Shah is an excellent dr. Quick appts but he gets to the root of the problem!!
