Was hoping for a more positive, organized, professional experience. I've had several appointments cancelled and rescheduled months out. Had several appointments never actually scheduled or incompletely scheduled or deleted from their system resulting in several months delay for appointments with my specialists or with my treatments/therapies. Not sure what the disconnect is, but it's multiple departments that struggle with scheduling and communication.

Not shocked a 2.8 rating. I don’t normally write reviews, but after making multiple calls, verifying insurance, making sure my I’s were dotted and t’s were crossed I was actually able to get an appointment!! I was so excited to be cared for such a “great” medical facility.? well it just goes to show your name only gets you so far. When I showed up the people I had the pleasure to deal with were honestly not qualified to work at a drive thru. They really didn’t care. And they did nothing to help even try to have an alternative outcome. They happily told me nope we can’t take your insurance we need a 5000 deposit. Huh? Mind you after hours of making sure things were lined up and showing them all my notes. Just goes to show you can dress a person up in scrubs, give them the appearance of having competence because of the name on the building, but it doesn’t always make it true. It’s ok though I’m looking at my non-appointment as a blessing. Things always have a reason. Thank you Mayo Clinic. Good luck you’re obviously gonna need it.

I started with their primary care in 2019, I can't stress enough how bad the care has become over the years. I saw Dr. Bryan for on ongoing heart issue, and had to get something checked on my skin. After discussing my tachycardia with him, he stepped out to have me dress into a gown. He stood directly outside of the door and lectured his nurses about patients with anxiety, how they think they're having a heart issue when they aren't, etc. He was talking for so long about me that the automatic light turned off, and I was sitting there, humiliated, waving my arms around saying "hello," and he couldn't hear me over the seminar he was giving his nurses. The lights wouldn't turn back on, and I sat in the dark room for over 20 minutes. It wasn't safe to get up because I literally couldn't see anything. Then he waltzed back in, didn't apologize, and proceeded to tell me there's nothing wrong with my heart. Thankfully they had an NP there (left earlier this year) who was able to finally diagnose an autonomic disorder, which was the cause of my heart rate issue. I suffered for years thinking I had anxiety because he's so dismissive. I filed a report about this and didn't hear back.

Recently I went in for a checkup and expressly asked not to be under Dr. Bryan's care. Their appt center scheduled me with his new NP without my knowledge. I had some values that came back that I was concerned about, asked a question through their messaging portal, and the staff were again extremely dismissive, completely ignored my question, and made it so that I couldn't even reply in their system. I was told I would be contacted yesterday or today about my results, and no one has responded.

My husband works for Mayo and the behavior of their primary care team goes directly against their standard of care. I've seen specialists with Mayo that are absolutely top notch, but the primary care here is abysmal.

Just a warning for people who want to try and get into May Clinic. They advertise they want to help people and they care about people but this is NOT true. I just called to make an appointment with an audiologist and was told that they don't accept BCBS. So I said "ok how much is an appointment"? Because I am willing to pay cash and they told me that they could accept $5000 deposit so that they could put me on the schedule. bahahhahaha then it would take 90 plus days to get in. That works out well for them to take a patients money and collect interest on it while they schedule months out. I laughed and said, "no thanks". They say they care...NOT.

BCBS is a large insurance provider and I was shocked that they don't accept them but presumably it's because Mayo can't make enough money off them.

Be forewarned, so you're not shocked when you call to try and get help.

I called to get a set up a virtual care because I had tested positive for covid - I would have seen any provider and they wouldn't schedule a virtual appointment for me.. instead they scheduled an appointment with my doctor 15 days out. saying that they were not scheduling virtual for covid at this time. I needed help and treatment right now not 15 days from now... I have always raved about the Mayo but I have to say in the past few years they have gone downhill and are slowly becoming just like all the other corp. hospitals seem to care more about money then patient care. the system says that I spoke to someone on that day but never had a virtual visit. Dr Kruger is my primary doctor and she is the best! but I can't get in to see her with all the obstacles put in place. I used to feel proud and safe knowning that I am a Mayo patient.. now I am truly nervous and Very disappointed.

Waited three business days to get a call back from their appointment department for nothing. I was told the "diagnosis" for my thyroid issue isn't seen by their endocronology department. I would have to wait until I had a more severe diagnosis that they do treat. When I asked if I could be seen by a primary doctor I was told that they had a 2 & half year waitlist and they recently sent letters to these people letting them know that they were taking everyone off the waitlist because it became too long. The women I spoke to literally said to me I'm sorry there's nothing we can do to help you. What a waste of time.

Never met a more caring and personable doctor than my oncologist, and basically everyone I've encountered at the Mayo Clinic.
I feel like I'm not the only one fighting for my life.
I do wish they had a better selection of wigs in their shop. NONE match my hair texture, not even close. Maybe finding 1 or 2 tight curly ones might work better.
For the most part, their customer service is great throughout!

I was placed on a 1 year waiting list over 18 months ago. Never received a call back. When I followed up they tell me that they only take their own employees for primary care. I wasted over 1 year waiting to hear back and did not get setup else where. Very strange practice. Or would have been nice to be informed of this so I did not waste a whole year not seeking primary care elsewhere.
