The staff are committed and caring, the facilities are well set out and it has excellent Wi-fi, the residents often say how good the food is, the rooms look out on gardens and green space, the medical care is best practice, and the management friendly and approachable.

Receptionist was very rude. She did not open door and pretend to be busy. Very rude and with attitude. Please someone teach her some customer service before hiring. I doubt about how she got her job without a smile and terrible experssion when working in aged care facility.

Unfortuntaley I cannot give this Hostel any stars... My 100 year old Grandmother passed away in this place.... All her dignity gone because of the lack of care from the staff. The room was a disgrace - their were dirty cups still on the bedside table after my Grandmother had passed and the bathroom was disgusting the toilet looked like it had not been cleaned for months. The staff are mostly male and when no care was provided all they could say was they were short staffed. - NOT GOOD ENOUGH
The only nice thing about the place was the volunteers

My father was in the Dementia care unit, his experience and ours as a family were not good. Luckily we were able to move him. Careless and unfeeling management and low staff to resident ratio, terrible food, my father was left unkempt in a sad and unstimulating environment.

I do not recommend St Andrews for anyone to stay in. My godmother was there for 2 years with severe parkinson's disease. She had a shower every 6 days. Her hair was rarely washed. Her teeth were never brushed. The receptionist at Harrison House was always very rude and never smiled. Less than 2 days after she past away all her furniture was placed outside her room for us to collect with no time for us to grieve. Some carers and nurses who did the right thing were not there everyday and there was no communication between the staff so that improvements could be made. The management team is hopeless. If my family wasn't there regularly I would have brought her up to Queensland with me.

I've been here for a few different event - as part of a dance performance group, as part of a film crew, and as a visitor to their market day. On all ocassions this appeared to be a well-run facility with activities and events for the residents, professional staff, and clean and well-maintained premises.
