I was there to get a total knee replacement as a public patient.
The staff couldn't do enough for me to make me as comfortable as possible.
Physio's were great but tough, wanting me to get through to my discharge evaluation.
Food was excellent

Currently I am receiving excellent care from the nurses and doctors and physiotherapists at Shellharbour Private Hospital. If you are contemplating orthopaedic surgery, I can’t recommend highly enough the therapy one receives in the gym and hydrotherapy pool.

Shellharbour hospital actively deceives patients about admission times so their front desk staff can go home. If you get an admission time of 4.55pm, don't bother turning up then because you will be waiting up to 5 hours to have your surgery. They just want to check you in before knock off. No transparency about what is actually happening, leaving you unable to arrange safe alternatives for travelling home from the hospital. Absolutely pathetic.
They were well aware I was travelling with a toddler and my elderly parents, as my husband is deployed. I was not given the courtesy of honesty, otherwise I would have gotten them a hotel, instead of driving home through the bush after midnight.

I recently underwent a medical procedure at Shellharbour Private Hospital and can highly recommend the facility and staff during my stay. The whole process from the online admission right through to the admission staff, theatre nurses and anesthetist were outstanding.

Was looked in for bilateral knee replacement. Excellent service at checking, wonderful, attentive nursing staff. Very caring. Dr Todhunter dod a fantadtic job on my knees. Food was fresh and varied. Not the Carlton Ritz but good all the same.

My partner had a hip replacement here. From the first phone call about 7 weeks ago until discharge tonight each and every Dr, nurse, specialist, and staff member we have met have been nothing but outstanding. Extremely happy with the whole process and would recommend here to anyone without hesitation.

All the staff at the hospital were lovely from reception to the nurses.
My anaesthetist Dr Petr was really nice and my surgeon Dr Malouf is a great doctor.
I definitely recommend having your day surgery here if you can.
The food was nice, I'm coeliac and they had all gluten free food for me.?
