Pre-Admissions Clinic. I can't fault them, they were so kind and welcoming and the nurse made me so comfortable and at ease. I hope and pray that my Day surgery experience will also be such high quality care.

Surgery done, the Day Ward was amazing, staff was fantastic. Thank you to all the wonderful staff of Day surgery, the theatre staff and doctors, nurses, medical students.

Had to stay overnight! Care was amazing too, a little noisy but understandable they have a job.

Small constructive critisism I can deliver is sort out the squeaky doors.... Lol

The waiting period is very long, we experience this in all hospitals unfortunately, and the treatment is very rude. I came yesterday with complaints of allergic reactions. All tests were done and pills were given. They sent me home. They said that I should make an appointment with my own dermatologist and see him, but they are also aware that it is not possible for me to make a short-term appointment. Date, it will take 4 to 6 weeks. The night of the day I was discharged, I am here again with the same complaints. The nurse who did my first check-up, whose name I do not want to give, literally asked me why did you come? This plan was made for you. I told her that the process was long and that I could not stand it and came again, but her looks and attitude made me very uncomfortable. We, as citizens of this country, do not deserve such treatment. Please be a little more understanding.

I went to Mt Druitt Hospital emergency, on Saturday morning, i found it all went well, even though i was there for the day, all tests were carried out. Nurses were lovely and answered any questions. Staff and head Dr were great he showed me what i was doing wrong. So my experience with them im very happy about, so all staff that was on call Saturday morinig much appreciated.

I recently visited the Mount Druitt Hospital emergency department for the first time. My experience with the reception staff and doctor was excellent, and I felt well cared for. However, I was disappointed by my interaction with the triage nurse. Upon arriving, I followed the instructions clearly written outside the emergency department stating that patients should report to the triage nurse first. When I mentioned this to the nurse, her response was dismissive and lacked professionalism. In a stressful situation, this type of communication can be particularly disheartening.

As healthcare workers, we understand how small acts of kindness and empathy can significantly impact a patient’s experience. While I did not react at the time due to the stress of the situation, I feel it's important to highlight that patients visiting the emergency department are already under pressure and deserve respect and compassion from all staff members.

While I would give the care I received from the doctor and other staff a 5-star rating, my experience with the triage nurse would only merit 1 star. I hope this feedback helps in fostering an environment where every patient interaction is met with professionalism and understanding.

Whoever the 2 nurses in the triage working this morning shift are, I do not think they have the “clinical eye” to properly triage patients.
I came there with a sudden onset of severe headache and the nurse did not bother asking my PQRST of pain so she can properly triage if I needed emergent or non urgent care. I am few weeks postpartum, with sudden and unusual high blood pressure, and was crying in pain but of course that did not matter, still had to wait hours.
I don’t think I’d want to go back to Mount Druitt Hospital for any emergency. A clinic nurse would have more empathy and urgency than these triage nurses.

I visited my dying Uncle at the hospital today and when I needed directions to the ward, the nurses were very polite, friendly and professional. The toilets were very clean as for other areas of the hospital. The nurses station where my Uncle was, they were polite and friendly too. I had a positive experience with hospital staff. To all who reads my review and for anyone who has a loved one dying in hospital, may God bless your loved one and God bless you and your family. Thank you XXX

Went in @ 3am this morning with my son who needed to see doctor .omg I had to wait till 6.30pm with no outcomes. My son got so impatient of waiting that long with no meals or even a sandwich being offered to him.He pulled the Canular out himself and left cause he didn't even get any food for that long and he's mental status was not well too.He was waiting to be transferred to Blacktown hospital. The staff very unprofessional and showed no compassion whatsoever and very rude.Veey dissapointed and will never be going there ever again I'm sorry.

Recently I have been referred to Mt Druitt emergency by local GP due to covid and marred by irregular heart beats. Perhaps it was my lucky day as not many were waiting at the reception area at the time. The Receptionist just asked me simple questions before registering me on the system. Then I was called straight into the initial screening room for cardio check. Then I was sent nextdoor for separation due to covid, before another nurse came in and checked my condition again. Then I was transferred to another isolation room inside the emergency ward for observation, where they have performed all necessary tests and procedures. It took just half an hour before the doctor first came to see me, and totally I spent six hours before being discharged to go home. Everyone I came across knew exactly what they were doing, and looked busy. Such experience allows me to give them 4 stars, with certain minor areas to improve of course. First, a young radiographer who has taken chest x-ray for me did not know how to operate the double doors of the isolation room I was in. I saw him trying to seek help from nearby colleagues, but unfortunately none noticed or responded to him. I then told him how to do so, before he was able to open and shut the door successfully afterwards. This means daily office operations guidance and on-the-job training need to be provided by seniors and juniors. During the final hour when I was there under observation and receiving a drip, the duty nurse has forgotten to release the final bit of the drip to my body leaving me there to wait. I waived my hand to try to alert people outdoor for assistance, as I got too much water inside my body at the time and badly needed to take a dump while I was still being wired by electrical cords and needle. Luckily she finally came to release me to go toilet before finishing the remaining process and freeing me to go home not long thereafter. The whole experience allows me to say that I don’t mind to go back there for service if necessary next time. But for some others if your conditions are not that bad you might like to first consult your local GPs, and it will certainly not make you wait for longer time as hospital emergency usually rates patients’ conditions like life-threatening or non life-threatening.
