The Mount Druitt Palliative Care made the final days memorable. The staff were so attentive, caring and able to assist not just the patient but the family in their time of need. They set the standard for care. Being able to see & feel the sunshine was such a blessing.

Look.. no person wants to be in this state, but when it comes to caring for those in trouble, Mount Druitt's palliative care unit has some really nice staff who provide a really kind and caring environment for their patients and their families.

The unit is run by a team of nursing staff who provide 24 hour care for their patients, with family members often present, they see first hand what nurses are doing for their loved ones. There is a lounge area with a vending machine for patients families when visiting, along with clean tidy rooms for the patients. Like the hospital, the pcu has high quality meals served daily by staff catering for the many dietary requirements patients have.

I'm short, this place is a very safe space for those requiring palliative care, and although it cN be the sadest moments for some being there, there is a level of care always provided to ensure patients and families have a comforting environment around them.

Spoke to three people to try and find out COVID process for the pal care unit. No one could tell me. Not good.

The.unit looks comfortable for the patiences in beds. Rooms 1 to maybe 7/8 all have an outside verandah that runs that end. Carpark is nice & handy to walk from.
