I had mid 2018 and the last 4 weeks had attended the Pain Management Program and I am so glad that I had. I had undergone serious spine surgery last year and this year had undergone the Activate program. It is a very extensive, hard course which had gone for 3 days a week over 4 weeks. They had shown me very good ways to prevent flare ups and helped with strategic planning to get my lifestyle back on track. With the professional staff there I had got the help I had needed and I have a follow up next month.

An excellent program "Activate" for sufferers of chronic pain for all ages. It is intensive and a very balanced program that combines theory and practical presentations and a great learning experience to motivate you to continue with your difficult journey. Don't worry about pushing beyond your current limitations. Each individual sets their own goals for exercising, walking, sitting, standing etc. If you want to learn about the science behind chronic pain this program is excellent for explaining how your whole body and your brain can impact on the area of your pain. Very supportive multi functional health professionals and upon completion of this 4 week program (3 days per week) I have hope that my pain will not control my life. You need to be motivated though to continue to use the strategies learnt at the program to really get the most benefit. A wonderful program!

I did the pain management course here, they mean well and have good intentions but the road to hell is paved with good intentions!
If your suffering from chronic pain like I do don’t attend this pain clinic. They worked on me until all the good habits I had dealing with pain were gone and didn’t give me any support when it all fell apart. At the end I wanted to die. Day one on the pain course I was told “it’s all in your head” day two they halved people’s meds day three - most of the class didn’t show up. I later found out a lot of those who didn’t show up were in hospital due to the med changes they recommended! Please reconsider going to these people to get help and remember in the end. Your not broken, your not damaged goods and you will get through it one step at a time!!
