I recently in May had the pleasure of delivering my baby at Campbelltown Public Hospital, and I’m compelled to share how exceptional my experience was, largely thanks to a fantastic staff member named Kate S. From the moment we arrived, Kate’s warm demeanor and professional expertise were evident. She was not only attentive and compassionate but also incredibly knowledgeable, providing clear explanations and reassurance throughout the entire process.

Kate went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and well-being, making the birthing experience as smooth and positive as possible. Her kindness and genuine care made a significant difference during a time that could have been stressful. It’s clear that Kate truly values her role and takes great pride in her work.

Overall, the support I received from Kate and the rest of the hospital staff was outstanding. I am deeply grateful for their dedication and care, which made my childbirth experience a memorable and positive one.
The facilities were also clean, modern, and comfortable. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for exceptional care and support during childbirth.

My daughter was brought in via Ambulance on 25/10/2024 at approximately 10pm after experiencing an allergic reaction.

Upon arriving in Emergency we were informed we'd be admitted into a ward.

While in the waiting bay, I'd informed multiple nurses my daughter hadn't eaten and asked if food could be provided. One managed to offer juice and a fruit cup while the other advised she'd check if the Peadiatric ward had purees, as they were all mindful of my daughter's multiple food allergies. They later informed they would not provide anything given the risks. So my husband left to get food from home.

We were advised that when we'd be admitted to a ward she'd be provided food. At this point, my daughter hadn't eaten for hours and continued to tell me she was hungry. So, I asked the doctor on duty for a banana, advising her I was aware they were reluctant to give food but explained my daughter was very hungry. The doctor began to continuously yell very loudly, that I needed to "Uber Eats" something. Now I'd understand her response if I approached her with aggression but I did not.

Also, as a doctor who is reluctant to provide food from the hospital because of the risk of triggering allergies, she should know that uber eats is a dangerous option. It seems more training is required on handling people with multiple food allergies because telling someone to order "Uber Eats" could result in a worse outcome than providing a simple banana. If the hospital, which is supposed to be a safe place, can't accommodate safe food, do you think it's easy to find a restaurant at midnight that will?

Later, I overheard the nurses doing handover and one of the nurse laughing about how my daughter was "allergic to everything" like it was a joke.

In the morning, everyone around us were provided breakfast but none offered to my daughter, my husband or myself, not even an offer of juice or fruit.

Does the hospital just let people with allergies starve because you can't accommodate for them?

Given the rising number of allergies it appears more training is needed.

i took my fiancé' in there after she had dirtbike accident. She has a open laceration on her arm under her elbow which its showing the bone... we went into emergency at 8:30am Sunday which i sat with her for 13hrs in there.
The pain she was in was nothing i have seen before.
They kept saying waiting to see if we can you into theater with no food. At around 4pm they said operation was not happening today but are booked in for tomorrow morning.. They moved her to a ward monday morning still saying TRYING TO GET YOU TO THEATER.

Instead they keep filling her with morphine and pain killers. Infection rate now is high.. I am disgusted in this hospital. not letter her eat all day to tell her no theater.. just filling her up with morphine is not acceptable.

I will never return to this hospital, i should have read reviews before bring someone to this place.. We sit and still waiting.

Grateful for the attentive care given to my husband from the amazing ER staffs (thanks heaps Katrina and Mark) to all the nurses in ward B2.1 to the doctors (Dr Anika you're amazing for explaining everything to me) who took care of my husband's health and gave me the assurance that everything will be fine.
To the environmental staffs and food staffs and those that transport the patients, you are all amazing in the jobs you do, thank you so much.
Campbelltown Hospital has changed for the better. State of the art facilities that would make us locals so proud to be living here.

I went in for day surgery, every staff member that I encountered was professional, friendly and efficient. This was my first surgery and I was kept informed every step of the way and felt cared for throughout, plus surgery went very well. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work.

Would give a 0 star but I can’t. Better to book a flight, endure the pain and go to any other country to get the procedures done and come back instead of waiting nearly half a day for your turn to get any service, even the triage nurse and meet the doctor. Very friendly customer service staffs who know what they are doing at the front desk by being rude and rolling their eyes when they have to repeat anything as well. Came in emergency cause i couldn’t breathe cause of some unknown allergies and waited nearly 10 hours to meet the doctor while barely being alive. Would ? recommend to anyone willing to increase their chances of death ?

Worst Hospital ,especially ward d2-1 .
All nursing staff especially the mature ladies need a attitude check and have more compassion for the sick patients.
The young training Nurses coming through had more compassion and showed empathy to my 80 year old grandmother.
The whole ward needs a cleanse abd new staffing.
