After a long journey with a chronic illness, Dr Rickard was the one who finally figured it all out and I've been in recovery ever since. He cares, is highly skilled, honest about outcomes and generous with his time. Never felt rushed in consultation. Never a stupid question. Finding the right doctor and care is a personal journey. I wish you the best with yours. But my own personal experience here was fantastic:)

I recently visited Dr. Rickard at Macquarie GI and had a great experience. From the moment I walked in, Angela was friendly and professional.
I can’t thank Dr. Rickard enough for the care and expertise provided before, during, and after my surgery. From our initial consultation to the post-op follow-up, really appreciated how clear and informative the explanation of my diagnosis and treatment options were.
The surgery itself went smoothly, and I’ve had a smooth recovery thanks to his skill and guidance. The entire team was professional, and I always felt well-informed and supported throughout the process. I’m truly grateful for the exceptional care I received.

I highly recommend Dr. Lendzion and her team for their exceptional care from start to finish. Dr. Lendzion is personable, knowledgeable, professional and thorough. She explained the procedures clearly and provided opportunities to ask questions. I felt cared for and in safe hands. On the day, the team were friendly, organised and the gastroscopy and colonoscopy went smoothly and efficiently. Leading up, Angela was so helpful, providing advice on prep and going to extra efforts to help me navigate the booking. Thank you, team for making this a positive experience.

I was in the room waiting for another Dr to see me and I just witnessed, that one of Dr Jones patients were unable to drive home due to medical issues , and kindly Dr Jones offered to drive the patient home with his own car
I was so happy to see that still there are good people are around and it was such a heart felt moment to witness
So proud of you Dr Jones, I hear lots of good comments about your practice but today you proved to be a great man with a heart full of kindness

I have had 2 endoscopic procedures and one surgery with Dr Kuo in the last 12 months at Macquarie university hospital, let me tell you he is amazing! I have the worst health anxiety and generalised anxiety you could probably come by. He made me feel so informed, safe and at ease, it was magical. He has honestly changed my life with his treatment and I am forever thankful for being his patient. His whole team may I add are phenomenal, I literally become a sobbing mess in front of any medical personnel and everyone was just so forgiving with me. All 3 anaesthetists I had all made me so calm and reassured me I was in safe hands. Very grateful for Dr Kuo once again.

Dr Lisa Shim is amazing. After years of not receiving the right answers and care from three other gastroenterologists, Dr Shim thoroughly, carefully and considerately worked out my issue from the get go. I am so grateful for her expertise and treatment and I have absolute peace of mind being treated by her. What I went through prior to seeing her was disastrous. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Shim especially if you've wasted your time and money on other specialists who just don't care and ignore your symptoms. She worked it out straight away. Her receptionist is also amazing and so lovely to deal with.

Dr Anil Keshava is amazing. Very professional. His staff are a great reflection of his professionalism. Vanessa and Angela were so amazing how they took care of me when I was in a distressed situation. They advised Dr Anil and they all worked so well as a team. I highly recommend Macquarie GI for colonoscopies. The service I received was top notch, very friendly staff and very professional from the beginning, during and the end. A/Prof Rickard is very friendly and made me feel I was in safe hands, his lovely receptionist Angela, didn’t hesitate to help in anyway, and she even went beyond to assist me with asking Prof Cartmill to ease my mind with my pathology results whilst A/Prof Rickard was away on leave. Even the anaesthetist Dr Chris Fisher aided me with my migraine prior to my procedure. I will definitely recommend Macq GI to my family and friends and anyone else who asks. Not forgetting the nurses from Macq Uni Hosp as well. They were fantastic. A big thank you to you all! - M Atkins
