I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Jacqueline Tan at the Macquarie University Health Clinic. She is a wonderful family doctor who is both professional and compassionate.

Dr. Tan is thorough, taking the time to explain things and ensuring all my questions are answered. Her attentive listening and genuine concern for my health make every visit feel just right.

What stands out the most is her ability to make you feel heard and valued as a patient. She approaches each appointment with patience and empathy, which helps make discussing even the most sensitive issues comfortable. Dr. Tan's expertise and dedication are evident in every aspect of her practice, and I feel fortunate to have her as my doctor.

Oh, and don’t for one minute think that a university health clinic is not a normal medical center. This is very much a family medical practice for your whole family.

I had some good and some bad experiences here. I appreciate the good doctors here, but out of the 4 GPs I've seen here in the last 2 years, 3 of them were not very helpful, some were even dismissive. In a recent appointment to review test results, the GP couldn't figure out what the cause of the pain was as the scans were clear. That is perfectly fine, and he referred us to a specialist to further investigate the issue/do more tests. I noticed he kept asking the same questions, and kept repeating the same things when we were literally standing up to leave. I did not question it at all as I took at as the doctor being extra thorough.

After I came to pay, the receptionist told me the appointment was considered "long" as we were there for exactly 31 minutes, even though the reviewing of the tests should not have taken more than 15. The doctor just told us that the scans don't show anything wrong and more testing needs to be done with a specialist, and wrote down some notes. Everything else was just asking the same question and repeating the same things.

I also booked a 15 minute appointment as I thought it should be short. If I booked a 15 minute appointment, I should have been at least informed that my booking doesn't mean anything. I had to unexpectedly pay double. I've booked "long" appointments before so I was aware of the different price ranges.

I feel like there the appointment was dragged on for no reason to increase the time. I did not want to argue with the receptionist as they are not at fault at all. I paid and left. However, I will not be going back. One good experience with one GP out of 4 of them made me trust this practice, and but the last few experiences have been unhelpful and not great. Specially this time, when the appointment was being dragged to the 30 min line.

My original appointment was cancelled due to illness, but they were very accommodating fitting me in with an alternate doctor.
They were super efficient and the doctor I saw was so friendly and helpful and informative. I would highly recommend this facility.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever visited for GP services. The staff are really, really nice, and the doctors are exceptional. Doctors are all very cordial and genuinely care about their patients. It feels like they’re really going above and beyond, which is something I haven’t experienced elsewhere.

It was my 1st time visiting the clinic. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist right away.
Dr Cherry Wong was amazing and easy to talk to. Great rapport, she was accomodating and she made me feel comfortable throughout the checkup. She’s also very good with needles, didn’t feel a thing during my flu shot! ?
