Warning: avoid visiting this unprofessional clinic! Terrible experience there.

I had a large amount of blood taken by Waterfront Medical Centre recently. I was then called by an external pathology lab, to inform me that they could not use my blood - as none of my 6 sample tubes were labelled by the blood collector (in my case, a doctor).

*Waterfront Medical Centre had known that these blood samples related to a particularly sensitive issue.*

I was given various excuses by the clinic as to how it happened, including 1) that the regular collector had not been at the clinic for unknown reasons and 2) the receptionist had not listened properly to the collecting doctor, who'd asked her to label them.

No accountability and no acceptance of responsibility by those who actually collected my blood

Rude receptionist. Condescending tone of voice speaking to patients for no reason. Definitely not the right character for a front desk role to greet patients.

Responsible and professional GPs, thanks Dr Habashy and Dr Ronald Chu Highly recommended. HOWEVER the clinic time management needs to be improved in a great extent - waited for 40 mins for first appointment and second time for 1 hour… the appointment scheduled time seems meaningless…. It is hard to accommodate this much delay in the weekdays.

Just wanted to say big thank you to Dr Habashi, you are one of the best Drs, I couldn’t find any Dr like you to be this much kind, supportive, knowledgeable and caring.
Your diagnosis your experience is so valuable to me and my family.
Within last 11 years many times you saved us by your diagnosis and instructions which even the well known specialist couldn’t.
Thank you Thank you for being like a caring father not only a Gp to me and my family and look after us.

The female receptionist is rude and unhelpful. Had two appointments back to back for my wife and I due to Covid and she made the appointments Telehealth and suddenly we were at the end of the queue. Not what we wanted or asked for. Next time I’ll just go in contagious!! She’s always rude!! Tony however is lovely and tries to help

I’ve personally had nothing but good experiences with Dr Habashy. When my partner and I were sick during the Covid period, Dr Habashy couldn’t see us in the room (because we were still waiting for our neg covid results) but instead of turning us away, he came out of his office and spoke to us on the curb outside the building.

When my mother discovered a big lump on her throat just a week before she was due to travel for 2 months, we saw 3 doctors and Dr Habashy was the only one who was able to give any sort of constructive advice to ease our anxieties. Thanks to him we decided that it was safe for her to continue on her trip and she was fine.

Not sure what the complaints about the time spent in the waiting room are about. Name one medical centre that you have been to and haven’t had to wait for, I’ll wait.

It’s so difficult to find a good GP that actually knows what he/she is doing rather than simply act as a middle man, handing out referrals like no tomorrow and palming you off to the next specialist.

I wish people would be more respectful, think before voicing any petulant discomforts with the service, and not discourage the next person who might actually benefit from Dr Habashy’s expertise.

I have had appointments with the Medical Centre twice in the past two weeks.

The first was an in person appointment, in which my appointment lasted <2 minutes before I was promptly hurried out of the office. The second was a Telehealth appointment, scheduled for 1:10pm. When I was finally called at 6pm, the call lasted for about a minute and a half, all my concerns were hand-waved, and I asked for a doctors certificate, which I was told would be emailed through. The certificate was not emailed through, and upon a follow-up email to the admin staff, I have received no response and no doctor’s certificate two days later. Based on my experiences, the doctors here don’t appear to exhibit any proper bedside manner (a sentiment which seems to be shared with a number of other reviewers), and I would not recommend an appointment if you value your time.
