I recently visited this medical centre as a new patient, but unfortunately, I was treated poorly by the receptionist. Despite asking if I could make a booking, I was not offered one, and my medical needs were not even inquired about.

What's more concerning is that the receptionist made a comment that implied I was not welcome because of my background. As someone new to the area, I was looking forward to finding a reliable and inclusive medical centre.

I hope the management takes my experience seriously and takes necessary steps to ensure all patients are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background.

All the reception staff are kind, caring and understanding. Wendy helped me when I needed an urgent appointment for my daughter.

The nursing staff are kind, caring and understanding also, taking the time to explain your procedure.

My doctor, Dr Thangaval always greets you with a smile and always asks, how are you today.
She is very thorough, kind, caring and understanding.

I have been attending Lakeside Medical Practice for a very long time and I like Dr Thangavel because she carefully listens to what I am saying and then recommends either certain medications or advises me on what action I should take. I have always found her to be accessible and amenable. She discusses options and answers questions in a straightforward manner. I have found her to be a compassionate, professional, friendly and helpful.

Myself and my family have been attending Lakeside Medical Practice for over 20 years. Dr Thangaval has always supported my physical and mental health needs. She is so lovely and supportive and doesn't make you feel like just a number but very valued. When I haven't been able to see her the reception staff make every effort to fit you in as it is difficult working 5 days a week. I have also seen Dr Kumarage and he is also fantastic. Thank you ? ?

I’ve been going to Lakeside Medical Centre for as long as I can remember! Dr Kumarage has been my GP over this time & i’ve had to see him quite a lot this past 3 years, with some ongoing health issues . He is a very approachable, friendly & caring man . He is an excellent doctor with a wealth of knowledge. I also find the front desk staff very friendly & helpful, especially Wendy …she has helped me on many occasions ,without hesitation with some admin requirements. 10 out of 10 overall from me for the whole practice in general . I have been a patient at Lakeside Medical Centre for about 30 years or so when it originally opened with Dr Talib..
He was amazing, but retired with illness, then I was a patient of Dr Barker’s for many years, who was also an amazing and thorough doctor until he also retired.
I now have Dr Kumarage as my doctor, who is such a wonderful doctor, very knowledgeable, thorough and caring .
The staff there are wonderful and very helpful, and will do their best to accommodate you in a sometimes challenging situation. The doctors there are very busy, work long hours, but they will always do their best to help you wherever possible that they can.
There is also a nurse who works within the practice who is available for vaccinations and other services.
Next door there is a pathology, and another that offers X-ray etc, which is very helpful.
I definitely recommend this practice, however, to accommodate the ever increasing amount of patients, the doctors ( who work tirelessly) need other doctors to help them with the workload.
