Dear kingsford family medical centre, I booked online and paid for session. Don't make us wait 30 minutes after booked appointment time.

I understand doctors have to attend to urgent matters, then I recommend you spread out the bookings.

For eg. Schedule availability is every hour on the hour. And allow time in between patients.

It's not fair to make us pay out of pocket, yet wait ages!

Gosh if it's bulk bill then fair enough.

Below is the good points:
Online booking system was great. I love how I booked same day. The website and app called easy visit us really good. I love to see medical centres embrace technology.

Receptionists were nice. Probably the nicest medical Receptionists I have ever met. Well done ladies.

The doctor was okay. She gave me what I needed and I was out of there. I like fast appointments.

Dr kalyanie- she is harsh. Down plays your sickness.

1) came back cos i got a text from them saying they were moving and saw that the reply to me was a generic copy and paste from other comments. quite telling since
A) it happens so much that they just copy/paste a reply...
B) don't care enough to make it unique/personal...
C) just realised that there wasn't even an apology to me or most of the other reviewers.. which shows that what people are saying with lack of empathy to be true...

2) to the reply, yes i know to expect to wait thanks for being condescending.... however i don't expect to wait an hour when its pretty much empty... and certainly not EVERY.SINGLE.TIME... also other people commenting have had this problem for YEARS ..fix it instead of hoping people don't bother telling the truth..
3) every other doctor i go to has significantly less wait times. even with the extra travel time i see a DR somewhere else faster

4) maybe if they listened to the reviews they wouldn't have had to move lol.... good luck trying to get new patients until they also see how bad the service is

never going there again. not even worth the convenience of being close to where i live when i have to wait 40+ minutes.........
- I got there around 12 pm and had to wait a minimum 40+ minutes... i refuse to give money to someone when they treat others like that...... BTW i say "minimum" because i literally booked in for a different doctor while i was waiting and left so i would have waited even longer.......
- i was able to call up, book a different doctor in randwick and be seen on the same day and only wait <5 minutes. - even though i signed in they never even called me to ask where i was(they didn't know i had left for the other doctor so i could have just been outside for all they knew) so it shows how little they care. -i had gone around a numerous times before. every time their doctors are arrogant/uncaring/standoffish/downplay sickness and hard to establish a connection with. - rather than getting customers to return because of good experiences they rely on customers to return because of their location. - if you think its convenient/close just remember youll be waiting 40+ minutes and in that time you would have been able to go to plenty of other choices that you may disregard because its further. e.g i booked into randwick and the longest i have had to wait was 5 minutes -previous reviews show they are unable or unwilling to change

Very disappointed with Dr Chan. I have been to see her several times and she always runs very late (I've had to wait over an hour and a half in the past). Knowing this, I booked her first available appointment in the morning. I had to leave 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment slot without seeing her, because she had not even arrived at the centre yet - and had not communicated with the (very empathetic) reception staff to let them know she was running late for work. Incredibly disrespectful of people's time.

Efficiency:Never go there again. I book online and have to wait 1 hour, so what’s point of booking in advance? I lived nearby for the distance convenience, but you actually spend more waiting time.

Doctor attitude: my doctor is DR Chan, she is harsh and arrogant, I asked questions, she feel impatient and look down, I have never see a doctor like this.

Overcharge: the standard price is $75 per time, and they charge me $120 because they said my time is over 15 minutes. When I ask what’s exactly my consulting time? is 19 minutes, only 4 minutes more and they charge me another $45. But during the consulting time, the doctor hang inside and out, she seems busy and seems to do nothing, she wasted most of time but not answering my specific questions and finally have charge additional on me. It’s not FAIR at all!

Attended Kingsford medical centre on sunday as my son was not improving after 3 days of gastro. We did not have an appointment hoping to see a doctor to ensure he had no appendicitis as he was getting pain. The receptionist began to lecture me about how a parent should prioritise their child’s health. I was extremely upset. She knows nothing of my situation nor my child’s health concern. I was judged, not heard, not accepted. She found an appointment- but i didn’t feel accepted nor welcome. We did find an alternative doctor who was excellent. I will never attend kingsford medical centre again. So rude.

UPDATED: Thanks Victoria for replying to my review and offering a "better experience in future". I have now looked at the other reviews you have here. All pretty terrible about your customer service and level of care to patients. Your receptionist even told me they book in patients from 8am - knowing the doctors will not start for another 30mins - basically confirming the doctors run 30min late from their first appointment.

This has confirmed I will never be back - so there is no need for me to email you nor attempt another appointment. You have lost my service.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!

Went with my 5 month old child as directed by Telehealth to get him checked up due to emergency and basically kicked out of the clinic because he was in emergency over 10 days ago with covid. I needed them to make sure he has no fluid or infection in his chest and they basically refused to see him.

TERRIBLE HEALTH CARE SERVICE! Would not recommend going.

Wanted my medical file , mind you I found out they were closing and they won’t send it to my doctor but to a completely different medical centre , and if I want the file I need to pay $40’for it . I’m a patient of my doctor , I didn’t sign up for the centre to have my file transferred to where ever they want to send it to . I wasn’t even notified of them closing down either . I’ve only been there like 3 times so my record shouldn’t be that long at all .

First of all, I am very pleased with the look of the clinic following innovation. I have been here for 9 years. My family and I have seen some of the doctors. My sister and I used to see Dr WK Chan because we could always book her in on the same day and we did not need to wait long. For the past two years, waiting time to see her is 2 hours, even with bookings. She was very impatient when explaining my dad's test results and asked him to consult me if he still could not understand. I have medical background and can do the job, but if I am to explain the test results for her, then what's the point of booking an appointment with her? My dad then switched to Dr S Phon. She is very patient and caring, and always sees patients on time. She is keen on referring patients to specialists/for further testings where appropriate. I am relieved that my dad's health is being well taken care of. I have not needed to see a doctor for years, but recently I went to Dr B Tan for an infection. I booked him in on the same day and got my problem sorted out. He is quick and efficient.
