Shocking experience. Made online booking the night before for 8:15am appointment with Dr Lamia Makhal. Based on the booking, my wife rearranged work hours to take my child to the appointment. Received a call 15 mins (8am) before appointment to inform me that the appointment had already been filled (they called so they knew about the appointment). Zero compassion showed for a sick child with tonsillitis or consideration for the fact that work arrangements had been changed according to the booking. Cannot believe that Dr Makhal would not slot in a spot for a child who had the booking, look down their throat then script antibiotics, 5-10 mins. Have to assume that the crass receptionist just could not care less.Try to do the right thing and not clog up the emergency department and this is the thanks you get. Do not depend on this practice if your time is important.

I took my son to see Dr Lamia Nakhal and had a terrible experience. My son has been unwell for 4 days and when I asked Dr Nakhal for a medical certificate for school she said to me to tell the school "to go to hell" and that I "was wasting her time". I let the receptionists know what the doctor said to me; I don't know if it has been taken into account to be addressed at the centre. I recommended to the receptionists that Dr Nakhal's performance and professionalism should be assessed.

Dr Fernando has been the best family doctor for our family over the last 20+ years that we have lived in the area - he has always been so thorough and knowledgeable and we have always trusted his advice and recommendations. We will be sorry to see him leave the Practice but wish him all the very best for his upcoming retirement.
