Is there a doctor there? Not only she mistaken a rash with a fungus an infection that cover the whole body( I end up telling her what it seems to be), she had to google it for treatment i presume. Finally, a doctor, a young grown up woman dragging her feet whilst walking should have been the red flag, she was more concerned about her feelings of respectability than the health of my son. Respect is something you earn sis not something is given, especially when you are being yourself disrespectful ( but coming from someone who drag feet at work, it s not surprising)
I won t go into the cultural aspect however, there is something call "Privacy" and obviously they have no prob going over boundaries. You re treated there like you are dealing with pure Australian governance which I found it ironic coming from the population who has suffered the most from it. You would think they would use a different approach when designing policies. Kind of being discriminated against because, we are not sick enough and have not used their services for over a year, we had to go through a batterie of questions some being very invasive and out of context to provide quality health care. The plus thing about this nerve wrecking experience, was the health worker who gave the interrogatory, he really tried to make it quick, I know you don t write the questions but we still should be offer the option: rather not say" As an option too. Questions were asked to my son and told me he was embarassed to answer yet compelled. Never mind there is plenty other doctors in Port.
