I am writing this long-overdue thank you note to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and support provided by nurse Hannah during my post-labour appointments. My journey began during the challenging times of the COVID-19 lockdown, where I underwent a lengthy and painful natural birth, further complicated by forceps and a downstairs cut after a failed vacuum attempt. Before the arrival of my baby, I was a cheerful and lively individual. However, post-labour, I found myself grappling with anxiety and uncertainties—struggling with breastfeeding, constant crying of the baby, and the challenges of getting him to sleep. In those moments, my husband and I felt lost and clueless, couldn't get any extra help as our families were unable to enter Australia due to border restrictions at that time.The initial lactation appointment with another lady at this health centre was not a positive experience, leaving me reluctant to return. Fortunately, I did, and that decision led me to Nurse Hannah.

In my second lactation appointment, Hannah was assigned to me last minute, she quickly sensed my emotional state and kindly asked my husband to join for a third appointment to follow up on my well-being. During the third visit, she conducted her routine check-up on my baby and assessed my mental health through a questionnaire. The results revealed a high depression score, prompting Hannah to prioritize my admission to Tresillian Family Care Centre. Despite the usual waiting period, I received a call from Tresillian just 2-3 days later, confirming my admission to their Belmore centre.

My stay at Tresillian was transformative, instilling confidence in me as a mother. Hannah continued to offer support with additional appointments, ensuring I was on the right track. I am immensely grateful for her invaluable guidance during such a vulnerable time in my life—physically and mentally. Her care and encouragement were a beacon of light, uplifting me during every appointment and celebrating the growth of my baby.

If you are scheduling postnatal health check-ups at Croydon Community Health Centre, I highly recommend seeking Nurse Hannah's assistance (if she is still with the team). A thousand thank yous to you, Hannah, for your unwavering support and guidance.

Been going to the cottage on Brighton street for a few years now. My nurse is very friendly and helpful.
Get my medication in easy daily films for the fortnight.
Get a full check up with CChip once a year.
And get my depo injection once a month.
The only thing I don’t like is waiting 2 hours after my depo injection.
But overall would recommend to use the cottage.

They have disgusting attitude, have 0 empathy towards you, the lady I spoke with got angry every time I opened my mouth because it meant she couldn’t hear her own voice, this lady needs to be retrained as she knew absolutely nothing about mental health or talking to people. Was told I need to keep dealing with my problems on my own as I don’t classify as someone who needs to go on “heavy heavy drugs”. Feel bad for anyone who has to go there.

Awful service I would not recommend at all. I got a confirmation message for an appointment. A number for listed for rescheduling when I called that number they said it was wrong and to call another number. Refused to transfer on two occasions first with me and then when my husband called they wouldn't transfer him right. When I rung the supposed right number they told me this still wasn't the right number and they would take my details down. Unbelievable it should not be this hard to reschedule a simple appointment. At this point I'd rather pay for a hearing test less painful.

Long wait. Had to wait over 24 hours to see a doc in emergency ward. The nurses are least helpful and abrupt if asked for help. Last place to be when you in need. This place is horrible. Going to private GP is much more helpful then visiting here

One of the most outstanding services in N.S.W, not only do the staff in the adult mental health center create a warm and friendly environment that is very welcoming; they also provide a sense of care and well-being for their patients. Being apart of the public mental healthcare system it has been extremely difficult and disappointing of how little some healthcare professionals are towards their patients, yet Crydon mental health center has really helped me gain insight on my problems and knowledge on my own disorders and how to cope and live with them. And can I give a BIG SHOUTOUT to specifically John Aldis Aunins for actually taking on my case and continuously striving and working hard to make someone have a smile on their face and just feel a bit better everyday. Also heather is the absolute bee's knee's at giving injections! And the Lady at the front desk is wonderful and sweet when making tea, she's super kind and a great smile.
