Would give no stars if we could. Every month, a text would arrive to remind me that they were taking their money. When it came time to have our son taken off the policy, they sent emails - which went to junk mail as they were a bulk sending service.
Huge premiums - we got the same cover for half the price at HCF, and they showed no interest in matching that.
No discount available for 2 years of Melbourne lockdown, no rebate increases in 4 years.
And the rudest man who spoke over me repeatedly when I called to find out why our son had no cover.
We only found out when he went to get new glasses for Uni.
Oh, and the Uni student discount ? Not if he is part time.

I'm disappointed to share my experience with the 2024 premium increase from Peoplecare. Shockingly, my premium has spiked by 4%, which not only surpasses Peoplecare's modest 1.3% increase but also goes well beyond the average premium hike in Australia. It's disheartening to feel like existing customers are being taken advantage of by Peoplecare's substantial price surge.

Called my insurance company to discuss my upcoming knee replacement and spoke with Holly. She was very helpful and gave me so much information. I also told her that I had relocated from Queensland to South Australia for family sake. I told her my biggest struggle was the cold weather. To my surprise I received a parcel today that contained a beautiful warm fleecy throw blanket and a card to wish me well. Not only was that a very sweet thing to do but it showed me that Holly is a person that listens and cares. Well done Holly, and thank you very much.? It's people like you that keep me insured with Peoplecare.

Thought I would switch to PC health insurance to get a better deal. Whether they are shonksters or simply inept, or perhaps both, I cancelled the transfer after receiving an invoice for well above what I was already paying. I don't have time for this b.s.. Staying with NIB but keeping a close watch. No one else seems to be these days. Bye, bye People Careless, see you never!

Gold member, maximum cover, nothing changed in 12 years membership. We feel that the brains behind the scene have neglected the best coverage and the loyal members.
Now is time to move on and pick another health fund. Customer service was excellent but the fact that the benefits were not improved during these last 12 years is the result for the 1 star.
So, if you are a Gold member, put pressure so that the benefits increase according to the increase of the premium and costs.
As a high paid member I think we deserve that the benefits are the best. Well, now too late for myself and husband, we moved on. But a lesson to learn....

Long-time member with thousands paid in premiums. Now in search of reputable healthcare insurer that ensures policy coverage is consistently communicated through all channels. Wouldn’t recommend Peoplecare to anyone.

I have been with Peoplecare since the 1980s, under my parents' policy, and now have my own policy with my family. Peoplecare advertise themselves as putting members first, which has generally been my experience, and as a result I have referred numerous friends and family to them. A recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth, where I believe they applied a policy a little too strictly and weren't as People Caring as advertised. However they are better than any other health fund I have looked into and not for profit makes them excellent value too.
