I was delighted with my second
visit with Dr Jane Oliver yesterday. The initial visit for me was very like being in a whirlwind of confusion - coming to terms with my condition. All so new for the patient, but on both visits Dr Oliver explained clearly the very pertinent details As well as providing detailed information regarding Polymyalgia Rheumatica & the current system of treatment.
I also found her to be very patient & understanding, & giving some encouragement to
gain a positive result over time.
Once she received my referral & before us meeting she phoned me to advise a slight change with the medication I had been put on, which I was happy to do.
I felt she was very competent in her field & left me with a sense of security for the time ahead in tackling a complex health issue.

On my first appointment I found Dr Oliver to be very quiet and almost cool but this was just her intense concentration and intelligence. She is extremely thorough and listened intently. Exceptional knowledge and follows up on everything. Now that she has fully investigated my condition, she has the time to allow her caring nature to show. Dr Oliver has even contacted me outside her normal consultant hours to ensure I received a script for a new medication, all at no charge. I have been seeing her for several years now, I would highly recommend her with hesitation.

Unfortunately I can't recommend Dr Jane Oliver. I went for a Rheumatologist appointment and honestly found her quite cold and uncaring. To a point where me asking that she wrote down one or two quick dots points of information about her observations (my memory is terrible) led to me being scoffed at. She remarked that she didn't have time and that next time I should bring a notebook or my partner. I was then overcharged the amount I was originally quoted, and told by the receptionist that she didn't know how to fix it. I'm hoping it was just an off day, but it might be worth looking for another specialist to save yourself from having a similar experience.
